Portions are L.A.R.G.E. Be warned.
But the flavors are very good. We’ve only sat at the bar the times we’ve gone. No complaints. I will definitely be returning. Great bang for your buck.
Also, there is an upcharge for using your credit card, so cash is better, but they will accept your card.

I have given Mi Casa Dominican Restaurant multiple chances, but the experience has been consistently disappointing. Several times I have placed an order, had it repeated back to me correctly, and still received the wrong food.
Customer service is a major problem. The women working there are often rude and dismissive, and when they make a mistake they respond with attitude instead of fixing it. The owner is also very disrespectful and becomes angry when you point out their errors.
For example, I recently ordered a chicken sandwich with only mayonnaise and cheese — no lettuce or tomato. Instead of the sandwich, I was given a completely different meal. When I went back and finally received the chicken sandwich, it was cold and clearly not made fresh. It looked like lettuce had already been placed on it and then removed, because there were still small pieces of lettuce inside. On top of that, there was barely any chicken on the sandwich.
Another issue that needs to be addressed is how customers are treated if they do not speak Spanish. I have personally experienced and observed rude and disrespectful behavior toward customers who do not speak Spanish. It comes across as discriminatory and unwelcoming. Many customers speak English, and everyone should be treated with basic respect regardless of the language they speak.
The only positive thing I can say is that there is one gentleman working there who is polite and actually tries to help customers. Unfortunately, one good employee cannot make up for the repeated mistakes, poor service, and disrespect from management.
After giving this place many chances.

I ordered a mondongo and it was delicious, very clean. The service is lovely and the waiting time is appropriate.

Place has been under remodeling, love the new atmosphere and vibe. Some service people could be a little more nicer and attentive (we had the red headed waitress, now she was on point). The food as always was awesome; our spot to go to in Freeport.

They remodeled so the place looks very nice. Unfortunately the service was disappointing. We ordered a medium well ribeye with yellow rice, and we received a medium rare skirt steak with white rice. In addition, the glass of ice we received for our soda appeared to be dirty. It had particles stuck to the inside of the glass and as the ice melted the water was a murky cream color. The server was nice and the steak was good but the severe mix-up of our meal plus the dirty glass was a huge disappointment.

Been here once to sit and eat food was great service was below subpar server came to us once or twice the entire time and that was for food and drinks. Ordered through DoorDash and had worst experience ever! Order took two hours to be prepared, called to ask on eta and was met with rude service, then finally when food arrived the food was cold and burnt, never order through DoorDash from here I would only suggest to order food Togo and pickup yourself.

Love all of the food here. Bistec salteado is perfection. Pajo rojo (red snapper) in red sauce is delicious. Rice and beans are always on point. Service could use some help when dining in, they don’t tend to you right away. Still an amazing restaurant.

The food is delicious here. I always enjoy the Chicharrones de pollo con hueso dish (deep fried chicken chunks with bone-in). I prefer it to the boneless chicken version. I love to dip the chicken in their mayonnaise/ketchup that is served with it upon request. We also tried the stewed oxtails dish numerous times. The oxtails are always tender when we order them. For anyone who has never tried yuca in a “French fry” cut version, you will NOT be disappointed. I’ve tried a few versions of fried yuca elsewhere, but THIS place has the clout on it. It also makes a great side dish to share while waiting for your main dish. I love to eat them with either French dressing OR the mayo/ketchup that is used in the Latino eateries. I also love their juices. Great place, and authentic Dominican food on deck. This restaurant is definitely worth giving a try.

Service was exceptional; my family loves the fried pork belly chicharron. My Chicken sandwich was good. French fries could have been cooked for a while longer. They charged us for an extra drink and added a small gratuity to the bill. I usually tip 20% on the total bill and even more for excellent service. I had to deduct what they included in the bill.
Good news, I found a new hot sauce that I enjoy

Since moving to the area I have been here twice and I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite restaurants already! Everything was so fresh and delicious, I can’t wait to go back! I don’t speak Spanish so my boyfriend orders for me and the waitresses were really fast and attentive. The atmosphere is comfortable and it’s not so loud that you can’t have a conversation. Fabulous!!
