These ladies made our date night really nice.
This is the kinda place you want to hear about, the owners who care and support their community.
I would have loved to have loved the food.

If we eat out and I don’t get sick after, I know it’s a safe, good place for me.
If I get sick a bit after, could of been a food choice I made.
If I get sick right after, like within 5-10 minutes? There’s something amiss.
I did indeed get an upset stomach on the way home.
As to the food?
Only the scallops were worth eating in my opinion.
Those seemed fresh and cooked well.
It felt like everything else was left under warming lamps too long or simply overcooked. The shrimp, flounder – tough and chewy.
Frozen and thawed? I dunno.
The deviled crab? Tasted like stove top stuffing and zero crab.
They were polite enough to remove it from the bill.
Oysters are a bit new for us but they seemed so small. Tasted okay. Just small. Like a penny.
Hush puppies are hush puppies, as long as you don’t burn them right?
They did bring 3 baskets of those on the house.
I’m sorry to hear they are closing at the end of December. Perhaps why the food is the way it is at this point?
I could have seen this place in it’s hay day. It exudes warmth and love as crazy as that sounds.
We liked it there. We liked the people.
We wish everyone well on their next endeavors.

First time here, ordered a rack of ribs and they were delicious even had a half rack left over to take home. Hush puppies were excellent. Service was perfect. Margarita was smooth.

Sunday at noon the parking lot was full and there was a pleasant 15 minute wait for our party of 4. Our Server came quickly and went out of his way to cover all of our requests. I loved the Blackened Chicken Caesar’s Salad, and the rest of our party shared the generous Fried Shrimp and Captains Platter, fresh and perfectly cooked. Scrumptious hush puppies, too. All the servers bustled briskly about with heavy trays and still managed to smile a lot. We’ll definitely be back again!

My husband and I ate here this evening. For two small people who do not eat very much, the portions were very small. They were big on fillers, such as salad and potatoes but were very stingy with the actual Seafood. I ordered a broiled platter with oysters, shrimp and scallops. I got exactly four of each. Definitely not impressed, and will not be coming here again.$15 for one entree that had so little on it was quite excessive.

First time here and had a great experience! Steven was our server and he was attentive and had a warm personality.
The prices were reasonable with a variety of off menu specials. My deviled crab was very tasty and filling.

Arrived soon as the doors open at 4pm, no customers. My family was seated & ordered placed at 4:15pm. As others arrived & ate, we still hadn’t received food at 4:50pm. When we did get food at 5:06pm, it was cold. My fish was soggy, skin slid right off the fried fish & tasted of salted sink water. Mac n cheese & vegetables cold as if our food sat for minutes. Hush puppies were great! First & LAST time visiting.

Great deal on Tuesdays on steamed shrimp and oysters at sixty cents apiece. The oysters on the half shell were not on special but were very good.

I have always loved Huey’s ! They never disappoint! I love their steamed oysters, steamed shrimp and crab legs. Best in town !!!
