Jim N Nick’s, Ralph, was incredibly welcoming—he greeted us as soon as we walked in with a warm smile and a handshake. More restaurants need that kind of down-home hospitality.
We were in Alabama this past weekend and stopped to dine at Jim ’N Nick’s Bar-B-Q. From the moment you walk in, the place has a true community, welcoming vibe. The BBQ was amazing, and the Chicken Pitmaster Nacho Platter was absolutely delicious—more than enough food with generous portions.
And don’t leave without the cheese biscuits—you have to try them. Will definitely be going back again. Must go and dine at Jim N Nick’s highly recommend.

My students and I had a wonderful experience at this location in the Spring after one of our basketball games. We visited again today after our baseball game and had the same great service. The food came out very fast and the staff accommodated my special needs class well. I will always recommend this location of Jim and Nicks! The food tasted awesome as well!

I come here all the time and everything is always amazing, the service, food, and atmosphere! Today was no different as soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted by Ralph, who took great care of us and made sure All of our needs were met. We got hot biscuits and two barbecued chicken sandwiches that came out hot and delicious. We will be back really soon to see Ralph and get some more delicious food!

This was my first time at a Jim ‘N Nicks. I was visiting my daughter in Madison, Alabama and we went for lunch. It was 11:33 am on a Friday and it wasn’t very busy. It was 2 adults and 3 kids (5 & under). The food was all very good but I’m writing this review for the service! Julia and Takara were AWESOME! I can’t remember the last time I was taken care of so well. They were VERY attentive refilling our drinks, bringing us 2 containers of cheesy biscuits, getting us drinks to go, getting us to go boxes… just VERY attentive, VERY nice and VERY polite. They really made the experience.

My wife and I visited for the first time yesterday. It wasn’t busy but it was early. She got a pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese. I got a two meat combo with pork and sausage. My sides were baked beans and collard greens. Everything was very good and the service was great. We really liked the sausage.

From the moment I walked in, the restaurant was clean, organized, and the cashier, Ainaya was smiling and friendly. Ainaya was friendly and patient as I placed my order and very knowledgeable. Before my food even came out, Ralph, the manager, had come out to check on me to ensure everything was good and that I was taken care of. When I needed white sauce for my BBQ Turkey he was eager to help and brought it out with a smile. During our visit, SEC championship game came on, and Ralph actually stopped at every table to make sure everyone was okay with the game being on instead of music.
My food was perfect, good portions, hot, fresh, and flavorful. I feel that every bite was worth every penny of the price and the casual atmosphere was a welcome change from the usual sectioned experience in the average sitdown restaurant. I will absolutely be coming back!

Ralph makes this place even better than just the food. The food makes you want to come, Ralph and his staff make you want to stay and keep coming back! The decorations for the holiday were a nice touch. Our experiences are always wonderful.
