This place has one of the best indian food in the area. Owner and all the people works here really nice.
Fresh cooked Roti was really best in the taste.

Awesome food. It was our goto restaurant in 2018-19 and then I moved to Texas. We visited again today and the restaurant is still the same. The taste of the food remains the same. We love the rotis and daal. My kids live Gobi Manchurian. Authentic North Indian restaurant. Worth a visit.

This place is a true hidden gem. A small hole-in-the-wall Indian restaurant with some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. The butter chicken is absolutely outstanding— n rich, creamy, perfectly spiced, and cooked just right. You can tell it’s made with care and real attention to flavor.

The samosas are fresh, crispy, and full of flavor, not greasy at all. The lentil dish (dal) is comforting and delicious, perfectly seasoned and tastes like something made at home rather than mass-produced. Every bite felt authentic and satisfying.

They also offer Indo-Chinese dishes, which is a huge bonus. The menu has great variety, and everything we tried was full of flavor and clearly made fresh.

On top of the great food, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming.

If you’re looking for authentic Indian food with amazing flavor and kind people behind the counter, this spot is absolutely worth stopping by. I’ll definitely be coming back.

As someone who drove 45 minutes to get a specific meal, I was incredibly disappointed by my experience at Indian Bistro in Palatine. Their Google Business Profile clearly stated they were open, and it was the sole reason I made the trip.

When I arrived, the doors were locked and the lights were off. I tried to get the attention of a man inside, but he simply waved me off without even acknowledging my presence. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional.

To make matters worse, the restaurant looked filthy from the outside. The windows were smudged and dirty, and I could see dirt and debris on the floor inside. It’s a miracle they were closed because based on what I saw, I’m glad I didn’t eat there. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I will not be returning.

A week ago, late in the evening, my son and I found ourselves hungry and wanted to get Indian food. We Googled and found Indian Bistro, which online says is open until 9:30 pm, but it actually closes at 9:00 pm on weekdays. Despite arriving just 30 minutes before closing, the staff was incredibly friendly, kind, and willingly taking our order.
The food surpassed our expectations, being both delicious and generous in terms of sauces and meat—the essentials. However, the portion of rice was on the smaller side, which is fine since we didn’t go there to eat rice ;-). Considering we paid over $30 for two dishes, bread and a drink, we expected better-quality plates and containers, but they were very flimsy. When you open the containers, it can get a bit messy. The place is perfect for a take-out.

The Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious but had no kick, even though we didn’t request it to be mild. The Lamb dish was delicious, full of flavor. Because you get so much delicious sauces, we just made fresh rice, and had dinner next day. The paratha bread was another highlight, so delicious that I ordered couple extra pieces home. The staff, didn’t mind even though they were closing in a few minutes.
If you want a good Indian to-go food – this is a place. We will definitely be ordering from there again

We ordered several items for around 180$, but Dal Tadka, Paneer Kadai, and Chettinad Chicken (marked as medium spicy) were unbearably spicy and completely inedible. We tried adding milk, cream, water, and butter, but nothing reduced the heat.
When we called the store to complain, the staff showed no interest in resolving the issue. Very disappointing experience.

This place is sooooo goooooooood. Love everything we had here. The Chicken 65 was totally different than we’ve had other places, but it was still really delicious. The staff are all super nice too. FYI this is a casual/takeout spot but it does have tables. We’ll be back next time we’re in town. Thanks!!!!

I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of this earlier but I got a hankering for Indian cuisine. Specifically, the one food I could eat every day for the rest of my life: chicken saag. So I began looking for someplace nearby that might actually be open at 1:30pm on a Saturday. If you eat at Indian restaurants you KNOW that’s a challenge! Anyway, Indian Bistro checked off the necessary boxes so off I went.

I’ll just cut to the chase: everything I ordered was delicious and reasonably priced!!

I don’t know how anybody could complain about small portions. I walked out of there absolutely stuffed AND with leftovers! Here’s what I ordered:

Chicken Saagwala (so. much. food.)
Samosas (two huge samosas per order)
Gulab Jamun (two in the order)
1 Diet Coke

The saag was very good – maybe a little less spicy than I’m used to but still very tasty. The samosas were huge, quite spicy and delicious. The gulab jamun were large and sweet – a lovely ending to a yummy meal! All cost around $24. Not bad for a huge meal with plenty of leftovers! My only complaint is that you have to buy cans of soda. They have a fountain machine right there. Ugh.

FYI: this place is *super* casual – like, cafeteria casual. You go to the counter, order your food, and then wait for them to tell you it’s ready. Then you bring your plastic tray with styrofoam containers of tasty food to your table and enjoy! Before you leave, take your tray to the back of the room and dispose appropriately

Did I like it? Hecks yeah! In fact, I loved it so much, I’m fighting the urge to go back again today!

I’ve ordered from here a few times, but today’s dish of Chicken 65 was AMAZING. I had never tried Indian food until a few months ago and I can’t wait to try everything on the menu at Indian Bistro. Today was the first time I actually went inside and the employees could not have been sweeter. What a kind group of hard working people. And the atmosphere was so nice and inviting. I will for sure be back.

We ordered the chicken tikka masala, chicken 65, Hakka shrimp chinese noodles, chicken Chinese fried rice, samosas and a variety of breads. Even our picky kids who can’t handle spice LOVED it. It’s all spicy HOT besides the tikka masala and breads. I wouldn’t call the rice or noodles like any chinese I’ve ever had but it was still amazing! Happy to have found our new Indian restaurant! I just wish they would make naan!
