A quaint small place with a very colorful, festive decor this lil restaurant is BIG on flavor from the Chiapas area of Southern Mexico not too far Guatemala.
We started with Chips & Salsa and their unique salsa seemed a little different from the norm but by the 3rd chip I was addicted. We both ordered Chile Rellenos, one with Birria and both came with Rice, Beans & Corn Tortillas. They were both very delicious and the Birria was very tasty, or just right!
Rice was perfect and the Beans were also just a bit different but delicious!
We ended with Tres Leches Cake for an excellent dinner for two for under $40
Us two Gringo’s were pleasantly surprised with the new & delicious flavors that we tasted and are anxious to return to try other menu items that piqued our tastebuds! We loved the quality, the quantity and the affordability of this place❤️‍

New foodie gem in Largo alert! Don’t walk, RUN to the new La Casa De Las Nenas!! Our new go-to for authentic Mexican eats.

Where JK Trapman Seafood once stood now lives this vibrant new eatery, and while Trapman’s will always have a place in our hearts, this fresh chapter is a welcome and worthy change.
A female family-run, flavor-packed little spot in Largo that’s turning out some of the most soulful Mexican food in town.

The heartbeat of the kitchen is mamá herself, crafting everything from scratch, while her amazing daughter greets you up front with warmth and pride. That family touch shows in every bite.

Let’s talk standouts:

Chile Relleno – We order this dish everywhere, always searching for “the one.” Here, we found it and their technique is on point! The pepper is charred until smoky and tender, then steamed, peeled, stuffed generously, cloaked in a whisper-thin batter, and fried to a golden shell before being bathed in a rich, velvety red sauce. The result? Layers of flavor — smoky, savory, tangy, and a touch of heat — that make this the best version we’ve had yet.

Chips & Salsa – Don’t expect your run-of-the-mill dip. Their salsa is built on roasted peppers that lend a deep, fire-kissed flavor. It’s vibrant, balanced, and so crave-worthy we bought a container to take home.

Tamales – Pillowy masa with that earthy corn essence wrapped around tender pork. They’re hearty, comforting, and a perfect showcase of home cooking done right.

Empanadas – Crisp and golden with a straightforward, meaty filling. While I personally love empanadas studded with briny olives or vegetables, there’s something endearing about the simplicity here — unfussy, satisfying, and just right with a drizzle of salsa verde.

Birria Stew – The crown jewel of comfort. Served with warm, handmade tortillas that almost steal the show, the birria itself is deep, robust, and brimming with hunks of slow-braised beef that practically melt as soon as they touch your tongue. Garnishes of fresh cilantro, onion, and lime brighten it all up, giving you every reason to dive in taco-style.

Cantaloupe Fresca – Don’t leave without trying their house-made fresca. No powdered, overly sweet versions you sometimes find, this one is fresh-blended from real cantaloupe. It’s cool, refreshing, and tastes like summer poured into a glass — lightly sweet, naturally fruity, and the perfect companion to all the bold flavors on the table.

La Casa De Las Nenas is one of those rare places where the food tastes like someone’s abuela invited you into her kitchen. Honest, soulful, and made with love. Welcome to Largo!

My wife and I were looking for something very appetizing for dinner, and we saw the reviews of this place (it’s also right down the street from us) and decided to give it a try. We don’t have the funds to eat out all the time but this was more than 100% worth it. The watermelon fresca was delicious, and the two women who run this place were so kind and helpful, and recommended a quesabirria pizza which you dip into the birria soup and oh my goodness was it good.

The atmosphere is inviting and everything we had was very good (quesabirria as recommended was the stand out but the enchiladas and flan were top tier as well). Really hope this place takes off because I don’t personally have the funds to keep it open so I’m leaving this review hoping that every night is busy and fruitful.

God bless these women for making such an A+ experience of a restaurant in an unlikely spot.

A true hidden gem! This cozy, 4-month-old spot is exactly what our community needs. It’s a gorgeous, colorful space that proves you don’t need a massive venue to deliver massive flavor. You can really feel the ‘mom and pop’ love in every dish, their chips and salsa are on point! Plus, it’s dog-friendly, so it’s the perfect weekend hangout. Support local and check out this gorgeous female-owned business and their awesome service!

New Mexican spot! YAY! And in Seminole.

Wife and I went after church. Nice little spot, colorful. So the kitchen is actually a food truck, and the restaurant itself is a little house with seating outside, and inside with a bar. It’s a nice little quant place.

Food: We got asada and pastor tacos, generous with the meat, cilantro, onion, lime, and cheese on the side. I don’t know about the cheese but I guess if you’re looking for Americanized tacos you can add it, putting it in the side is a nice touch. We also got an order of the quesabirria tacos which were good as well.

Atmosphere: Great, had games on. Very colorful and welcoming.

Service: Good as well.

Price: Typical, yet generous on portion.

Recommendation: Would recommend, and will be back for sure.

Also I noticed they’re open until 2am on saturdays, pretty dope.

Delicious little spot with some fantastic food. They had a wide ranging menu with a lot of seafood options and traditional Hispanic dishes that all looked delicious. I didn’t have much time so I got a few tacos; al pastor, carne asada, and cabeza. All three were delicious.

Super yum. Me and my husband were happy and full after eating here. We had pozole, carnitas tacos and tamales. All were delicious in our opinion. They have many other things on their menu that we want to try (including an all day breakfast menu) so we will be back! We suggest anyone in the area to check it out!

Cute little spot with a Mexican vibe. There’s inside seating. And a cute little outside area to sit as well that looks like you can bring your dog too. Chips and salsa were quick to the table and yummy. I had the carne asada burrito that came with a little salad and sour cream on the side. It was really good. Their salsa verde is awesome too. Great lunch spot. I’ll come back and try their tacos and beer for happy hour for sure!

We had a chorizo quesadilla and pazole, which is on the menu daily. Both were amazing! I don’t think I could even put into words how delicious and fresh the guacamole, pico, and chips were! The margaritas were really good, too! It’s not a big place, but it was clean. Our server was friendly, and the owner is super sweet! Bonus… the prices are reasonable! We’ll definitely be going back!
