This cafe was such a great find. Their matcha is really smooth and flavourful, and the desserts are just as good as they look. The cakes are super airy and delicious, and the matcha cake with mango filling was definitely a standout. Their employees were very nice and helpful during the process of my order. The whole place has a cozy vibe, and the staff are really friendly. I’d definitely come back again!

I’ve had matcha all over Metro Vancouver. Cafés, bakeries, specialty spots. Tsujiri in Richmond is on a different level.
The matcha is clean, balanced, and properly prepared. No bitterness hiding behind sugar. No watered-down shortcuts. You can actually taste the quality of the tea, which is rare.
What really stands out is consistency. Whether it’s a classic matcha or a dessert, the flavour is always precise and intentional. This is how matcha is supposed to taste.
If you care about real matcha and not green-coloured sugar drinks, this is the place. Easily the best matcha I’ve had in the region.

I like trying tsujiri branches wherever i go to compare taste and menu variant.
Tsujiri Richmond has quite a range of menu, not only desserts. The savoury choices are plenty and actually nice. Portion comes in small size – enough for one so you can stomach in your dessert. It’s a light meal restaurant.
I like the private room section. Perfect for friends gathering. The view in the room feels like you are in Japan.

The matcha cakes were rich but not overpowering, with a smooth, earthy flavor that paired perfectly with the light cream layers. Nothing was overly sweet, which made each bite feel balanced and refined.
The desserts felt fresh and high-quality, and the drinks complemented them well. A perfect spot for matcha lovers and anyone who enjoys elegant, well-made desserts.

Went here for the high tea. It was $96 for 2 (+tax). We got the genmaicha for the tea and it tasted great. The food and dessert are also pretty good and totally worth the money spent. We couldn’t finished everything so we took the cake home. The decorations are nice and there’s a separate seat for those who’s getting the high tea with partition which gives a bit more privacy as well.

Had the matcha cheesecake and matcha yuzu ice cream. Both were delicious and perfectly balanced. Rich matcha flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. Would definitely visit again!

A great place to go to with friends, especially for the afternoon tea. Especially with said afternoon tea always changing per the seasons. Every time I’ve been here it’s been a positive experience. Most if not all the desserts or savoury items I’ve tried have been good. Asides from having a good atmosphere the service is usually friendly and enjoyable as well.

The high tea set had a variety of sweet and savoury items. The unagi don was tasty and a generous portion. There was no matcha ice cream like in previous years but the açai bowl made sense and didn’t melt. We were unable to finish the set and brought home the taro cream puff and hojicha basque cheese cake. Service was good and each item was described. The set came with a choice of 3 hot teas. We reserved ahead of time and sat in the tatami room which was comfortable and spacious. The item I liked the least were the ikura and salmon nigiri, it did not wow or seem that fresh. For two people the bill came to around $100, which doesn’t seem overly pricey for high tea.
