It was a cute little space. Dark inside with the outside space clearly being the highlight. The smash burger was good but I’m the person that usually asks for extra pickle. This time I didn’t eat them and even picked them off. The house pickles were too vinegary. Great hot toddy.

The food and service is great! Kristie was our server and she was welcoming, attentive, friendly, offered great suggestions regarding the menu options. (We were first timers at The Yard). I had the Southwest Chicken Bowl with a side of Grilled Jalapeño, satisfying combination with an IPA. In the winter the street view of the Yard may not look inviting but I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

I hate writing bad reviews but unfortunately I need to mark this as a spot a place to avoid. Service started out great and we ordered the Taco Dorado’s – they are essentially a mushy pulled chicken inside a fried tortilla shell (the lettuce and tomatos on the top are essential to make palatable) – we ordered a few beers and our server was great about giving us tasters to find what we wanted from the variety of local beers (beers were delicious)…

Now for when everything really went down hill. The Fish and chips is horrible, greasy with raw batter on all 3 pieces, I’ve reviewed dozens of fish and chips and these are some of the worst due to this issues. The chips were skinny limp fries with no seasoning, but if there was one decent thing, it was the pickled cabbage on the side. The Sopes Chili Verde looked great but was lacking in flavor and half the pork was the chewy fatty portion that chews more like gum.

For $90 I would say the price is overwhelming for what you’re paying.

Side note, as I’m writing this, my stomach is starting to turn… Potentially undercooked food could make for a fun weekend.

Stopped in with the hubby & fur babies.

Great food & dog friendly.

Hubby had the chicken sandwich which was HUGE! I had the smash burger and it was delicious!

Service was slow but well worth the wait!

Happy hour is great. An excellent bean dip. Cheeseburger came with a fantastic salad. My friend who is gluten-free, was able to request lettuce wrap instead of a bun for her cheeseburger. Solid beer, options and lots of open air seating with picnic style tables, as well as having great ventilation for indoors. Each time I’ve been there I’ve seen kids able to sit with their parents and enjoy.

We ordered chips, salsa, guacamole, tacos. I liked the shrimp tacos the best, but the fish and duck ones were good too. I got a hot toddy which was excellent.

Servers were helpful but not always there when you needed them.

Atmosphere is trendy, but a little cold, but was probably just right after a drink. Good place for a date night or to meet up with friends before aTaproot play.

Parking is a little harder to get but you can get it on side streets. I probably wouldn’t bring kids just because it’s a pub atmosphere, but I’m sure you could.

There were vegetarian options clearly marked.

Amazing local hangout in the Greenwood. We sat in the covered porch area. Nice heaters provided a very comfortable environment. A couple TVs in the background to see college football. We enjoyed the scramble and the relleno. Nice local craft beer selection. Thank you Sabrina for your service and the chef for your house made food. A definite go to in the Seattle area. Support local – it matters

The tacos were awesome!! The service was welcoming, cheery, and helpful. I was there super early because of jet lag but I’m sure the vibes would have been good too when there was more people. Highly recommend!

Our server was great. The food was good. It didn’t have the wow factor of many other places in Seattle. It was very, very cold- wear thick clothing!

I wasn’t impressed by the food. I could make it at home. I ordered a nonalcoholic ginger beer. I got charged $9.50 for a 12 ounce glass full of ice with maybe 6 ounces of ginger beer if I was lucky. They didn’t even bring the can or bottle. I will not be back.
