First off, the salad bar was a huge surprise (after all, it is a BBQ joint) . Everything was fresh and the potato salad is my new favorite.
As for the BBQ, it was good. I just got back from Texas last night and I think the brisket and house sauce here compare favorably with the BBQ I had down there. My wife had the pulled chicken and she thought it was too salty (hence only 4 stars) so next time she’ll try the pulled pork instead. I should also mention their Carolina sauce. It is vinegar based and very good. I didn’t have it on my sandwich though because it would have been too messy. But for a dinner plate it would have been my go-to sauce.
The side dishes were also very good. The gouda mac and cheese was super “gouda-e(?)” and my wife loved it. I had the mashed potatoes with beef gravy and was impressed by the gravy. You could really taste the smoke and brisket. Pickles and slaw rounded out the plate.
Now about the service. You could tell the waitresses were inexperienced, but they did their best. Our food arrived just as I was finishing my salad (as it should) and we were checked on a few times during our stay. There were only 3 other couples eating there this late in the afternoon, and I noticed they also received prompt service. I could see service not being as good during a busy period, but our server has the potential to be very good with a little more practice.
Finally, let’s talk value. Our bill was only $20 even though we added a salad bar and had premium sides. We even ended up bringing home half of our sides because we just couldn’t finish it all in one sitting. I think that’s about what we would have paid for the same amount of fast food so I consider this a great value.

Last night wasted $40 Worst ribs weve have had in such a long time we ordered two full Slabs because three weeks ago we had some of the best ribs from you guys that we’ve had in quite some time so we figured we’ll get 2 this time cause they was so good, guess I should have looked at it before I left I doubt if I’ll be back. Dry burnt and the majority was uneddible. The baggy picture is what meat we got off both slabs.

The food is ok not bad but not fabulous either. Been there a few times and had a few different meals. The ribs are good the breasted chicken not so much. The gravy taste out of a jar. But my kids like it and the the pulled pork is pretty good.

I was looking for a new place to eat, I came across this quaint restaurant. I entered into a throw back decor from the 60’s. I was greeted by my server Brandy. I chose a classic off their menu. I chose the porkers nachos with the BBQ chicken. The food was great, and the service was better. If you are in the mood for southern style BBQ then this is the place to eat.

The worst dining experience i have had in my 46 years. Waited an hour and half to get cold ribs and fries. After taking our order, never seen the waitress again until our food was served. Place won’t be open long. The people that gave 5 stars must be the owners.

Best BBQ in town!!! I looooooove this place! It’s my favorite for date night with my husband.
We came the first week it opened and you could tell there were some server training struggles but after that got smoothed out it has been amazing. The food has been so good!!! I really love the porker sandwich!! It’s my favorite!

First time visit and we thought both the food and service were very good. I had a half rack of ribs with the salad bar and my wife had the fried shrimp. We enjoyed everything and we will be back.

Sat again for a half an hour before our order was taken and we only knew appetizers so we needed a few minutes which turned into 45 then finally we got one if the 2 appetizers we ordered and it was told my mothers dinner order was no longer available. Do kotcwaste your ti.e!
