I visited Riverboat Pizza Company last night for a daddy-daughter date, and it was our first time there. I ordered the Ogeechee Road pizza, while my daughter chose the Ogeechee Cheese pizza. We shared the mac and cheese bites as an appetizer, and they were a huge hit — my daughter absolutely loved them.
The pizza was genuinely some of the better local pizza I’ve had in the coastal Georgia region. The restaurant feels family-run rather than like a typical chain, which adds to its charm.
Although I skipped the beer and went with a soft drink, the service really stood out. Tierra, our server, was excellent — very attentive and proactive with drink refills. What impressed me most was how patient and kind she was when my daughter ordered her own meal. She made the experience feel special and comfortable for her.
We sat inside, which had a nice atmosphere, but there’s also outdoor seating available. Overall, this is definitely a place I’d like to return to, next time with my whole family.

Pizza was good, much better the chain stores. Good quality ingredients. It’s a fairly thin crust, similar to NY style. They do have one Detroit style pizza on the menu, but we didn’t order that. They use a quality pepperoni and sausage, great flavor and not too grease. Only complaint is the pie was a bit soggy in the middle. But I would come here again. They have wine and beer on the menu too, both canned and draft beer. It’s a casual place to eat good pie and have a beer or two.

We decided to have pizza for date night. We were heading to our regular pizza spot, until we looked on a billboard and saw Riverboat Pizza. We went inside and ordered pizza. Everything was great. The pizza was second to none. The prices were very reasonable. The place was very clean. Most importantly the customer service was Awesome!!! We will definitely be returning.

Last night we were craving pizza and wanted to try something new… after doing some online detective work I stumbled upon this gem. It had just the right combo of good reviews and owner clapbacks to intrigue me.
Im glad we stopped by. The staff was super friendly and the fix came out within a reasonable time frame and was bangin. We had the Korean wings and decided to splurge on two deep dish pizzas delightful!

I am kind of sick of fighting with them over the cutting of the pizza the way the rest of America does it. It is 8 slices. When you cut it in 12 you are unable to fold the slice and the front of the toppings fall off. I specifically called and got through their bad AI and spoke with them. And they didn’t bother to make sure it was done the way I asked . This isn’t the first time or the 2nd or the third. You can tell they got pissed because I didn’t want the pizza they made. “We made it for you” nah not me you made what you want. And they definitely got mad when I only gave them a 9% tip for ignoring me and then guilting me into buying their pizza I need a knife and fork to eat.

I have been trying to get to this place for months. They do not disappoint. I want to give a shout out to the customer service. I placed a phone order and the lady was patient, kind, and helpful when I asked about the pizza. Great pizza– very different flavors and names which we loved. Bangkok Pizza was recommended and was delish. The order was expedited before the recommended time. The Cheesecake was AMAZING . I want a whole one.
This is a Great Small Business that enjoy their community and what they do. Keep it up! % pleasant experience start to finish.

The pizza crust is very good if you like thin and crispy. The sauce has very little flavor. The place itself is very dilapidated. It’s very very dark inside and outside is even worse with rusted tables and benches falling apart.
When you are taking an order if someone walks in the door the person stops taking your order to tell them to sit anywhere. Seems rude to interrupt the order just because someone walked in the door

We’ve been a fan of Riverboat for years, but now they truly have my heart. I was born and raised on the east side of Detroit, and I know a Detroit style pizza when I see one. The pans are newly seasoned so I know the pizzas are gonna get even better… But they’ve knocked it out of the park. It wouldn’t surprise me if this ends up being the best pizza in Savannah…. This is gonna be tough to beat. It’s like God gifted me the pizza I know and love, right at my corner.
Edit: I’d like to add a couple other supreme pizzas I’ve ordered recently. Still 10/10.

Wow… really good pizza.. ordered 4 large and the flavors were great… wife preferred the ham and pineapple… they deserved a 4-5 star but my last request was that all 4 pizzas had extra sauce… each were dry and little sauce… Argh!

27 Jul ‘24 1:30 another online order for pick up. After seeing review/pics posted days earlier, I decided to try the Detroit Style, add pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers, onions, $31.03 including tax plus tip. Not a fan. While I enjoyed the tasty toppings and crispy crust around the edges the bottom was far from crispy, it was a bit soggy and very thick. Honestly didn’t expect so much dough/crust and so little toppings on a pizza that cost over $30. Regardless, it was worth a try.
13 Jul ‘24 4:30 5 Stars. Online order for pickup. 14” River Monster; Salami, Canadian Bacon, Pepperoni, Bacon & Italian Sausage w/red sauce base, and lots of awesome cheese, added jalapeños, cooked well done, all for $22.00 plus tax plus tip. So good! Enjoyed very much.
