Hands down the best traditional Japanese food you can come across in the Austin. The place is super authentic and Yume (the owner) is super personable and nice to talk to.
He told us about Japan and provided a lot of recommendations and fun facts about Japan. Absolute gem!

Visited Wagyu Yume at their new location on McNeil. We really enjoyed their gyudon. It reminded us of sukiyaki we got in Japan. Thinly sliced beef marinated and cooked on a bed of fluffy rice accompanied by some pickled vegetables with a hint of ginger. Yume. The corn received meh reviews from the group.

Amazing food and quality. Tried the unagi bowl and it was cooked perfectly — soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet. You can tell they care about ingredients and execution. Portion size was solid and everything felt fresh and well-balanced. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you appreciate good food done right.

I got the A5 wagyu bowl. It was so good I forgot to take a photo. The food was fantastic and the owner was so friendly! The wagyu is real Wagyu so the price felt worth it. The meat was flavor and fatty and paired so nicely with the rice. The daikon and onion pickles provided tasted fresh and sharp.
The owner was also super friendly and let us try a sample of the gyudon. I felt very welcomed and it was a perfect Sunday lunch.

Honestly the first time I saw this food truck, I flinched at the price. But then when I actually came, it is LIFE CHANGING. Texas wagyu is not wagyu yall. And Yume is a super cool guy. The vibes of this food truck park are also great. A gem of north Austin — will be back for sure.

One of our favorites here in Austin! We’re so glad they relocated close to our apartment. As soon as we found out, we went straight to the food park and ordered their A5 Wagyu—my favorite! My 4th time eating thiss!!

AUSTIN’S HIDDEN GEM!
I LOVE this food truck. Such high quality meat for such an affordable price for A5 wagyu. This place is a must go to every time my partner and I are near the domain. My favorite flavor is the teriyaki garlic sauce, but his other flavors are fire too.

This food truck just opened up maybe a month ago and serves A5 wagyu from Miyazaki. The bowl was $45 and comes with a generous amount of meat, which is seared to perfection, served with white rice and pickled veggies. The taste is on point with a good amount of fat (not too too fatty). His menu had a few other popular Japanese dishes as well such as gyudon, edamame, takoyaki, and street style wagyu fat corn. He is located nearby Dick’s Sporting Goods in the Domain. There are no tables/chairs outside his food truck (as of July 2023) so be prepared to take to go or eat in your car. The owner/chef is from Nagoya, Japan.
