We got tuna tartare for an appetizer then I got the NY strip steak for dinner. The lobster Mac n cheese, sweet potato casserole, and brussel sprouts were all very delicious.
My mom got the shrimp and grits and said it was the best she has ever had! Step dad ordered the pork tomahawk and my partner got the ribeye. They surprised us with crème brûlée too!
We were all very satisfied and had an amazing experience!
An absolutely amazing dining experience. We chose the pre-set menu and it was the best decision — it allowed us to try dishes we wouldn’t have ordered ourselves, and every single one was incredible. The ambiance was beautiful and perfectly curated for a special night out.
The Ferrero dessert was unforgettable (please keep it on the menu!).
All of the staff were wonderful, and our server Amanda truly stood out. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and recommended a magnificent wine that paired perfectly with our meal. The service was seamless and top-tier from start to finish.
We will definitely be back!
We ordered ceviche, crab cakes, the steak flight with a salad, the tomahawk pork chop with she crab soup, carrots, brussel sprouts, and a key lime pie to go. First, the crab cake was the best I have ever had. It was incredible – I could have eaten several of them by myself! Very little breading, exterior was lightly crisped and ghe crab inside was tender and flavorful. The ceviche was also excellent, seasoned well and super refreshing.
The tomahawk was SO tender and the flavor very light. The brussel sprouts were sweet and savory and the perfect crisp. The carrots were good, albeit a little sweet for my liking and I could have eaten them as a dessert. My husband had the flight – he said the elk was the shining star. The Hen of the Forest mushroom on the ribeye plat OMG! I will never forget. We were pressed for time and had to quickly get the check and box up, but will have nice leftovers! Finally, for my birthday I was surprised with creme brulee which was perfect and rich but light. To top it off, we ate the key lime at home and wow! Excellent meal, good service from our server who was knowledgeable and friendly (hostesses were a bit cold and just stared at us when we came in; unsure if its because it was so early, at 425pm). We will come back!
I encountered the restaraunt via Google Maps before stumbling across a YouTube video posted a few years ago by the chef showing him walking through the recipe of the seared Red Snapper with coconut rice dish. It was every bit as delicious as I anticipated it might be.
Equally captivating were the prime filets, of which several were ordered at our table. Cooked perfectly to everyone’s specifications. The oysters were small, but delicious. We ordered a “bacon rack” ($30-something!), which featured different bacons ranging from Applewood to candied to chocolate-coated (!!). Finally, desserts were to die for — most notably, the chocolate lava cake, which also includes vanilla gelato atop a pecan cinnamon crisp that was absolutely delicious.
The wait staff was also terrific. We were serviced by Alvarol and (I believe) Amanda. Service was readily available, present, and attentive. They were able to quickly answer all questions we had about food, including our son’s peanut allergy, which was no problem whatsoever. We would absolutely return for another meal!
What truly elevated the evening, however, was the service. Kender and Ava exemplify what hospitality should be. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and natural warmth made the experience feel both seamless and personal. They anticipated needs without intrusion, offered insightful recommendations, and ensured that every aspect of the meal flowed effortlessly.
It’s rare to encounter service that enhances a dining experience so distinctly, but Kender and Ava accomplished exactly that. Ambrosia is fortunate to have them, and I look forward to returning.
The Service – classy, professional, thoughtful and friendly (not stuffy like some “elegant” restaurants).
The Food and Drinks – Excellent! I had the signature filet which was one of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had my share), the mac and cheese was tasty (a little different as it tasted like it had garlic bread crumbs on top which was delicious, but as stated, different), my wife had the scallops and risotto and the scallops were cooked to perfection (they could have had a bit more seasoning/flavor and my wife did find a couple small pieces of shell in a couple bites which was a bit off-putting) while the risotto was fabulous. We had a bottle of wine with our meal and I also had a Foster Old Fashion which adds a banana twist on an old fashioned which I thoroughly enjoyed after my entree. Lastly we had the skillet cookie which was too die for… Warm and delicious on a cold night!
To summarize, we had a wonderful night at Ambrosia and we will go back soon for our next date night/special occasion.
The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. The service was very friendly and attentive. We are locals and we would totally eat here again! Thank You!
