As you know I usually only review diners. At the same time, I try to boycott corporations unless I get a gift card for them. My thoughts on this family restaurant are that the food was great and the portions are big. The restaurant was clean. The waitress was friendly. The service was great. If you hate what corporations have done to America, start supporting mom and pop owned places.

Food was solid as well as the atmosphere. Servers were ok, maybe they had a bad day.

Breakfast potatoes seemed they were boiled and cut and put on the plate.

The chips didn’t quite seem crisp enough and seemed to soak in some of the cooking oil in a bad way.

Be aware that tips are not added to credit card sales. Luckily we had a few dollars with us.

We have always enjoyed eating at this restaurant on our way through PA. The food was always great and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. In recent visits we were ignored when entering the restaurant. They were busy and we were hungry so we overlooked not being acknowledged for quite a while (and this happened the last two times we stopped in). Today, we stood there for about ten minutes with staff moving by. Not a hello, or we’ll be right with you, or anything. My wife and I are tired of their lack of customer service. It doesn’t feel good to stand in a doorway with staff walking by you without a hello, eye contact or an acknowledgement. We don’t mind waiting at all, it’s the lack of friendliness. We’ll take our business somewhere else.

Initially 2/2024: Coffee brewed weak so we added a tsp of instant espresso to perk it up. I had the benedict with bacon, tomato, and broccoli which was one of today’s specials. I liked my Benedict except for the barely pink tasteless winter tomato. Oh well, anything other than a campari tomato will be sad. Spouse had the chili omelette which had mild chili both inside the omelet and on top. We also shared one walnut pancake which was good, and huge. A restaurant must have good coffee to rate 5 stars with me, but otherwise this place was great. Attentive coffee gal and wait staff.
Update 8/2024:
Chesesteak omelet is good, Italian omelet is good, special menu short rib Benedict is good and comes with asparagus. Coffee was …..Homestead Roasters brewed to be a dark color but is still tasteless so it is probably a blond roast.
Update 11/25…coffee still weak & tasteless. Clubhouse omelet was decent but included pale pink crunchy fresh tomatoes which was odd in a warm omelet. If you can’t find a good tomato and roast it, then maybe you need to switch to sun-dried tomatoes. The tomatoes really stood out from this omelette as a disappointment, oh well.

Very friendly staff with excellent breakfast offerings. Scrappel was cooked perfectly, crispy outside, soft inside. The 3 egg omelet is big enough to choke a donkey. To the waitress flying into ga, enjoy the swim with the sharks and rays!

Delicious! It was very good under the old management. The new owners took the Oaks a couple of notches up! The only thing that made me give them four-stars was that our group was over ten, and that the service took little longer than expected. As the restaurant was packed, little delay was more than understandable. The servers were highly helpful.

Driving through and google suggested this 4.7 star restaurant so we decided to stop. The place is very cozy and quaint. The staff was friendly and inviting. Our server was very polite and able to tell us about anything on the menu. All the sauces and food is homemade. The portion size on the lasagna and the chicken parmigiana were huge. I was full and couldn’t get dessert but they looked great going out to the tables around us. If you are traving through the nearby area; i highly recommend you try this delicious family owned business.

Food was so good. I came with a family of 5 and we were all so impressed. We have dietary restrictions of allergies and a vegan and everyone was able to get what they want!

A pleasant surprise, when we stopped for coffee, an had a waffle with it. Everyones food at the restaurant looked delicious.
The place and restroom were spotless. Plenty of staff.
The hours of operation seems to reflect the amount of traffic that frequent the place. Plenty of parking.
