Had this dish again – was so delicious! It’s very rich in flavor, so I only want it every so often? BUT WOW! it’s just amazing!
Our waitress was amazing, as well. (She has the prettiest icy blue eyes).
My only complaint was it’s very loud – this makes twice we have been there early & it starts off very nice, but as the night goes on, the louder it gets. Very hard to enjoy your meal.

I’ve been here twice- once two years ago and had the best experience. Sadly, my experience today was not good.
My party was here for about 45-60 minutes. Outside of performing regular duties of taking our order, our server (Alex V according to our receipt) did not check on us, and was absent for long periods of time. There was another server on staff who was regularly checking in on his own tables, and my experience 2 years ago had multiple check-ins, so this was specifically an Alex V problem.
The only time our server smiled at us was when it was time to pay, and it was an obviously-fake smile, as if to say “look what a good server I’ve been, please tip big”.
The margarita i got tasted only of fake chemical flavoring- could not taste the alcohol- and it came in a beer mug. It was absolutely disgusting.
I understand that food can sometimes be a little charred with fajitas, but my food was just burnt and the burnt smell was strong when my food arrived to my table.
Since my first visit here two years ago was 10/10, it was really disappointing to receive inferior food and service today.

My friend & I were in Marietta & we needed a place to eat before heading back to NE Ohio. It was the only spot open on a Sunday evening near where we were & it was a great choice. The outside looks inviting with sidewalk tables to enjoy if you prefer eating outside. The decor inside is gorgeous with lots of color. The staff was friendly & efficient. They were short a server but they worked hard & we never would have known if we hadn’t heard the manager explain the wait at the register. The food was delicious & the prices are very reasonable. If you’re in Marietta & like Mexican food this is a must stop.

Great service, amazing food and drinks! The salmon salad was tasty and fresh, along with the mango margarita with tajin. Then the fried icecream, was soo good! Highly recommended to anyone in the area!

Stopped in for early dinner on a Monday night. Service was great. Good regular salsa, asked for more spicy version and got it and was very good(but there was an unexpected up charge for it). I had fajitas, very good and good portion size. Hubby got mole poblano, not the best he’s had, but good(he ate it all!). Cheap & tasty margaritas! Finished with fried ice cream. Again, not the best I’ve ever had, but good and we ate it all!!

$100+ takeout order included 3 orders of these pitiful steak tacos. Photo is the $6 double a la carte rice. I missed that the dinner order of fajitas does not include guacamole. Steak in tacos and fajitas is very bland (teens said it doesnt taste like fajitas), no lime/cilantro flavor at all for carne asada tacos. pico was bland. Poor food, small portions , definitely don’t recommended for takeout.

All around bad experience. After being immediately greeted and seated as a one-top (party of one), my waiter brought my drink without the lime wedges I asked for. I finished my beverage (a can of Tecate) and half of my chips and salsa before the manager noticed that I was sitting with a menu on the edge of the table. If she hadn’t asked if my order had been taken, I might still be sitting there, waiting for my waiter to come back. She took my order, a simple entree, another beverage, and another request for lime wedges and queso for the chips. I noticed her talking to the waiter and he quickly brought me lime wedges and another beverage, not saying anything as he sat them on the table and immediately went to check on other tables with multiple customers (and potential for better tips). I was just about to signal the manager to ask for the check to pay for what was on the table and leave without my entree when it arrived. I signaled her regardless and explained that I was just about to leave because of the poor service and that I still had not received my quest appetizer. She apologized and offered to comp the queso that had not arrived and offered a discount on my meal. I told her that wasn’t necessary, but she insisted. My quest arrived minutes later, just as I was tasting a bland, uninspired, and almost watery-tasting “Enchiladas Supreme”. It was gross. The queso, by the way, was watery and barely stuck to the chips. The best thing about the entire meal was my 2 cans of Tecate. (Don’t get me started on serving it in cans and not bottles) I ate less than half of my entree and asked the waiter (after summoning him) for my check. The manager had comped the whole meal. Nice gesture, but not enough for me to ever go back and give them another shot. Now I’m off to find something to eat for the second time tonight. The attached photo is how I left the table.

It has been 8 years since I have ate from here. When I lived in Marietta, this was always my favorite restaurant to eat at. When family or friends came in, this is where we would go. I’m rarely in Marietta anymore but I was today. I was visiting a friend and we decided to have Tampico for old time sake. Oh, how I have missed this food and prompt service. I completely forgot to take a picture of my Burrito Tampico. It was early so they were not real busy, which was really nice. I’m so glad that we decided to choose it today!

I’ve been here several times and generally have a very good experience! My favourite part about when I am dining in at Tampicos is all the murals and that’s truly why I enjoy going there. The food is good and the service is good, but the atmosphere… that is what truly makes Tampico, Tampico.
