I was in Stuart, Florida on business and decided to take a shot in the dark by Googling breakfast places that serve scrapple or pork roll—and that’s when this hidden gem popped up. When I put it into my GPS, I realized it was about 12 miles from my hotel, but I went anyway, and I’m so glad I did. As someone from Philadelphia, it was such a treat to enjoy pork roll and scrapple—comfort foods I’m very used to and don’t often find down here. It did not disappoint. You can immediately tell the staff truly loves what they do; the way they interact feels like one big family. It was especially great to see a mother-and-son duo working together—and seeing her wearing an Eagles apron made it even better. Fly, Eagles, fly! The scrapple was amazing, and I loved it so much that I came back again the next day for pork roll. And I can’t forget to mention just how incredible the pancakes are.

Came in for breakfast with my friends Lori and Damon. We had Nathaniel as our server and he was great! The prices were reasonable and the food was so good! Love this little spot. I want to bring my Utah license plate here for their wall.

I’ve been to Sammy J’s plenty of times, and it never disappoints. The food’s always on point big portions, cooked right, and comes out quick. The French toast is always loaded and delicious. The place just has that laid back local vibe that makes you wanna keep coming back.
Lisa and Nate are awesome super friendly and always take care of you. They make the whole experience better every time I’m in. You can tell they actually enjoy what they do.

Been here before for breakfast, food was good, but the service was slow. The table next to us came in afterwards, ordered and got their food before us. Tried this place again, got our drinks quickly and again waited some time for someone to take our order, then waited and waited for our food. Omelet was good, but the hash browns tasted like they had freezer burn on them. Their waitresses need to get trained on keeping track of customer orders and their customers. Maybe they just don’t want customers on walkers in their establishment.

Food is pretty good but as others have stated, the service is terrible. Sit down or take out. Yes, there are some very good employees so let’s not discredit them but placed an order to go. Wait 7 minutes alone at the counter. 3 workers behind the counter just sipping on drinks and talking to the back kitchen staff. I had to legitimately walk over to the take out foods. Find my name. Tell them “Hey, my food has been sitting here. I’m taking it. Bye”. Add to that, food ended up being cold due to SOME of the lazy workers there who have no work ethic. Simply put, the restaurant itself pretty good. As for the employees, the lazy ones know who they are and the ones who work hard won’t take offense to this. But you know who you are.

Placed a to go order for scrambled eggs and pancakes. They told me it would be 20 minute wait. I got there after 20 minutes proceeded to wait another 15 minutes for them to give me my order. They handed me the to go bag with everything all tied up. So I wasn’t able to check the bag to make sure everything was in there. Upon getting home, there was no syrup in the container. Tried calling them three times And got no answer. Was excited to try this place, but this left a bad taste my mouth.

Everything you want from a smalltown diner. Large portions, lots of different choices and its all good. The prices are very reasonable also. I highly recommend stopping by.

I was there on a Sunday morning. They are well staffed with the friendliest people all have great personalities and very helpful even if not your initial server. You can see they even support each other. No waiting for anything. The trays of food that passed me by were appealing in size of portions and appealing with nice presentation. The menu is awesome and priced right for one or huge family gathering. The place was clean, no goop on bottles, and all the condiments you possibly would want. Coffee refills without asking were politely offered. This place has been here for 20 ish years and with the expansion can fit more people than you think. And staffed so there is no waiting. Food fun delightful to have found this gem of a place. I can’t wait to go back and try out some of the omelets, and pancakes they have to offer. Friendly group of people. Thumbs up
