Good place and it’s clean. I like the food I ordered, it’s delicious. There’s only two staff was there when I visited. The service was excellent: they are very nice and really hardworking people.

Like many tourists, we initially headed to the nearby 50s-style diner, but luckily it had a long waiting list, so we decided to try this place instead.

We absolutely enjoyed it for our quick lunch break on our road trip. The food was delicious (also for vegetarians), the service warm and friendly, and the atmosphere perfectly captured the classic diner vibe from the movies that we were looking for.

In comparison, the other diner we considered had dirty restrooms, cramped seating, and service that left much to be desired. Worth skipping it and coming here instead!

10/10 recommend and if i could give more stars i would. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a pleasant voice and told to sit anywhere we want. The food was absolutely to die for. I ordered a turkey dinner plate, kids ordered grilled cheese, husband ordered a club sandwich and my oldest ordered chicken tenders. My younger two said it was the best grilled cheese they had ever. My husband also ordered a chef salad which was way to much to finish but was fantastic and as for my turkey dinner phenomenal. For the food you get the price definitely matches. We had tons to take home. Carri our waitress was exceptional. All the food came out all at once except our salads which we requested beforehand. It was nice to be asked if we wanted them with our food or before. The thing I thought was really neat is the walls in the diner from end to end are dry erase boards so my younger two could draw while they waited. We will definitely be back.

Penny’s diner was absolutely outstanding. The food was simply spot on and th service was great. The building also fits the part brilliantly for a retro diner. After dining at Peggy Sue’s and Penny’s I can confidently say Penny’s is ahead by a country mile. You won’t regret it.

I cannot state enough how amazing our experience was here. We came in late, it was completely empty, and the man and woman working treated us like family they hadn’t seen in years. Hot amazing food cooked with love, not an ounce of ‘ugh we have to start up the grill’ (which I wouldn’t have blamed them for, Ive been a cook that sucks) we will stop there every single time we pass through. Thank you both for an amazing meal!!

Looked good from the outside but unfortunately couldn’t dine since their credit card machine was down that day and they were accepting only cash payments

I used to park across the street and come in for lunch or supper whenever I was driving this route as a trucker. Even now, whenecer I’m on the 15 between LA and Vegas, I always stop in.

My recommendations are their chili, their chili burger, and their country fried steak (in breakfast and supper varieties), and you cant go wrong with their mozzeralla sticks, fried pickles or fried mushrooms for an appetizer. You really cant go wrong with any of their options. Whatever you order, i recommend a malt with it.

The service has always been quick and friendly, the facilities are always clean and in good repair (if worn in some places) and the overall atmosphere is a chill place you can slow down, stretch your legs, and enjoy a hot meal.

The price is probably $10-20 per person, and that’s if each orders a full meal and a malt. For a few dollars extra you can split an appetizer between two people.

If you’re heading that direction, I cant recommend this place enough.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this 1950s style diner just north of Barstow. All of the chain restaurants and barstool were closed so I ended up here. Food was really good and the two guys working behind the counter and grill were really friendly. Prices were also fair. I will definitely be stopping here from now on instead of the chain restaurants at the Lynnwood exit.
