What a great restaurant! The staff was welcoming and super friendly. The bread came out and came with this absolutely incredible butter! The food was so beautiful and absolutely delicious! The specials were innovative and exciting to try! Will definitely bringing my family back!

I was really excited to try DeLucca’s Italian Grill & Pizzeria, located at 1720 Sunset Blvd, West Columbia, SC 29169, based on the great Google reviews. The experience started off strong with a welcoming atmosphere, beautiful artwork, and a friendly waitstaff.
We began with the soft rolls, which I believe are served with a signature butter. They were absolutely wonderful— paired with the butter some of the best bread I’ve had in Columbia. For appetizers, we had the Beef Meatballs, which were great, and the Pan-Seared Sea Scallops and Shrimp (as shown in the photos). The shrimp arrived first, but we had to inform the staff that the scallops were missing. They were brought out later, but by then, we had already eaten the shrimp. I think the shrimp should have been taken back and the dish fixed, especially since we were paying for a full meal. That said, the shrimp and scallops were still tasty, even though we had to eat them separately.
The Italian Garden Salad was a great start to the meal, fresh and flavorful.
For the main courses, we ordered the CAB Steak Special of the Week with risotto and asparagus. While the steak was tender, the risotto was a letdown. It looked and tasted like dry, sticky rice, which I did not expect from a traditional risotto. The other main course was Chicken Parmesan, which came with tomato soup. The tomato soup was good, but unfortunately, the Chicken Parmesan was burnt. You can see from the photos that the top was slightly charred, and the backside of the chicken was completely black with a burnt taste.
The waitress asked if I wanted something else, so I opted for the Three-Cheese Ravioli. By the time my dish arrived, my wife had already finished her meal. I tried one ravioli, and it tasted like store-bought, which was very disappointing.
After that, I was done. Overall, I can’t fully recommend DeLucca’s Italian Grill based on this experience. While the atmosphere and some of the food were enjoyable, the mistakes with the timing and the quality of some dishes left much to be desired. I would consider giving it another try in the future to see if the restaurant has improved, but for now, I can’t say I’d recommend it.

A lovely little restaurant with excellent service, tasteful, interesting artwork decorating the walls, and of course delicious food! Our family stopped by after a visit to the zoo. We were seated immediately. My wife and daughter both ordered the Alfredo with chicken, my son had the white pizza, and I had the lasagna with ground beef. My wife and I got salads and my daughter got the tomato bisque. The opening rolls were pretty twisted affairs, delivered with exquisite strawberry butter. The creamy House Italian dressing on my salad was bursting with flavor. My lasagna was excellent with generous amounts of flavorful cheese and well seasoned meat and sauce. All of us enjoyed the entire experience and the prices were even reasonable! We’re certain to return, and I doubt you’ll be disappointed if you stop in yourself.

This establishment is definitely a hidden gem! Me and a friend went in to try a few of their menu options, and all of them were delicious! For starters we had the Herb Goat Cheese Peppadews. I absolutely had no clue of what that was, but it was delicious. My friend had the Pan Seared Scallops, which tasted amazing, definitely a must try. I had the Chicken Marsala, with the sautéed mushrooms which was very flavorful! The service and atmosphere was very pleasant.

Very nice atmosphere with relaxing music, the spinach artichoke dip is some of the best I’ve had. The tomato bisque soup has a nice consistency and is delicious. Now this chicken carbonara and risotto with prosciutto is absolutely amazing. The service was also superb. We’ll definitely be back to try other dishes

Came here for a date night and it was such a treat! It is a little cramped inside, but the food and service is well worth it! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and on top of it! I got the lasagna and my husband got the Chicken Carbonara and they were both AMAZING. The flavors were so prominent, fresh, and worked so well together. We also got tiramisu and an almond cake, the perfect way to end a meal! We can’t wait to go back!

Raspberry butter that came with the roll was delicious. The roll wasn’t my favorite, but was OK with the butter. The meatballs were fantastic. I highly recommend the meatballs. The classic pizza was OK. I didn’t really like the little cup pepperonis, but I did like the sausage. Pizza crust and sauce were average. Reservations are recommended. Otherwise, you might not be able to get in. I saw one family that couldn’t get a table.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. When i pulled up outside i notice they offered seating on the outside. Our table was right beside the door. It was very tight and not spacious. The waiter was nice. She answered all questions related to the menu and talked me into ordering the soup of the day which was a beef tomato basil. It was really good and flavorful. It had mushrooms and others vergetables i really enjoyed the soup. I ordered a side salad as well which it was good. I then ordered my entree which was the chicken Alfredo. I asked for extra Alfredo sauce. The entree was very bland. It tasted as if no seasoning was added. And the chicken was just sittting on top which it was dry and didn’t taste like it was done. I did not enjoy the Alfredo. I did like the waiter left the pitcher on the table because i drink a lot of water so she made sure i was hydrated. But what i didn’t like was that i asked for extra ranch dressing for the salad and for extra Alfredo sauce for the pasta she said ok. I noticed when i got the bill i was charged for both. Which isn’t a issue. I just would prefer that u let someone know so that they will know before hand and not be surprised in the end. However i didn’t complain. I Will attempt to go back to maybe try a different dish so that i can update the rating because the Alfredo dish was the biggest disappointment.

The people working here are very friendly, humble and welcoming. Their bread and butter, which is homemade, is absolutely amazing. For starters we had seared scallops and shrimp which was filled with flavor, good size on both scallops and shrimp. Then we had an Italian sausage and spinach soup which was creamy, the portion was about a bowl size. For our entree we had a chicken Alfredo dish with fettuccine, wife had a shrimp Alfredo with fettuccine. We were both impressed with the flavor of the food. Based on what our waitress told us, everything is homemade with the exception of the fettuccine and penne pasta. Prices were good and portions were good! Ambience was warm and peaceful, highly recommended for locals or visitors passing thru Columbia, S.C.
