We were informed that although they had tables available, due to large party there were no chairs. We were offered either seating at the bar or waiting, we chose the bar. We had a nice view of the street, but the chairs were very narrow and uncomfortable.
I ordered the eggs benedict BLT Style which consisted of two poached eggs on a brioche bun with bacon, avocado, tomato and topped with hollandaise sauce. There was a mixture of Greens in a ligh lemon dressing on the side. My son chose the Trifecta, which consisted of four slices of bacon, two eggs any style, and one large waffle. Our poor waiter was running himself ragged trying to take care of all of the customers, he apologized for the wait, and comped our soft drinks. I did see two other people whom I assume were wait staff, but I didn’t see them doing much work at all.
When our food arrived, there was no avocado on my benedict. The waiter was more than happy to go get me a side of it. I can honestly say that this was the best eggs benedict that I have ever eaten! The bun was the perfect amount of crisp, the eggs were cooked to perfection, the bacon was thick and crispy, and the Hollandaise sauce was heavenly, with just the right amount of lemon. My son also enjoyed his plate very much, stating that it was one of the best waffles he has ever eaten. The decor was very basic and simple, and I got more of a take-out vibe than an actual sit-down restaurant. Our waiter was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and provided some of the best service I have ever had.
I will definitely be back for more of their scrumptious eggs Benedict, but I believe the next time I will order it to go.
Total bill for two lunches not including tip was $31.00 and change.
They were probably held for sometime before being delivered to the table, and the plates are very cold stoneware!! Which should always be preheated before warm food is placed on them, common sense .
The staff at this place were mainly hanging out in the back laughing and not working the tables.
I’ve been to several First Watch locations, Charlotte, NC to Jupiter, FL, this one was certainly the worst of any I’ve seen .
Also, when I came to pick up my app placed to-go order, I first checked in with the host stand. Instead of having me sit and wait on the benches by the door, the host told me to go wait by the kitchen in a cramped awkward spot right next to other families eating their breakfast and servers taking food out. It felt awkward and very in the way.
The food tastes fine and the atmosphere is what I like about this place, however I am not sure after this I will choose to dine here again.
For the prices this business charges, I expect far better service and dish preparation.
I had their limited time Seoul hash potatoes and enjoyed it a lot. I personally like how they change up their menu time to time and continually bring something fresh.
Bustling with lots of people usually during their peak brunch time around 10am – 11am, but the service has not been any less. Keep up the great work!
I also like their interior. The wood decor and interior makes it seem like country house feel.
