First of all, it was a little pricey my chicken Alfredo, my noodles weren’t done the chicken was cold. The cheese wasn’t melted. I’d like 15 minutes to cook noodles. Three of us ate lunch here on Mother’s Day. There was a crowd, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. The appetizer assortment was tasty and filling, calzones are huge, and my gyro was large. I observed many families with all ages of children. A great casual dining experience!

Another periodic update (Dec 2025). We get pizza from Mike’s every month, because it is consistently the best pizza anywhere around here. I have never had a bad pizza, and they go out of their way t make sure I don’t. The staff is always excellent, here, too. Super nice folks.
Mike’s is the place to go in Ottumwa for very good pizza. There’s a good reason why they are always busy. Great for both take out and dining in.

Don’t know why they have steak house after their name. Only 3 to choose from and the prime was half fat. Will never go back. Was not impressed at all.

Had sangerias – so delicious! Tenderloin and fries were absolutely perfect. Table had steak sandwiches and bacon cheeseburger, all was excellent. Waitress was very busy but handled the crowd like an expert. Thanks for making my first trip to Mike’s a delight. Should’ve taken better pictures. Highly recommend.
