Have a wonderful dinner at Volcano crab. Love the build your own options. Food came out perfect and hot. That’s one thing great about this place was the tasty hot food. So many combinations of seafood to choose from it’s difficult to choose as it’s also a lot of food. Just means multiple trips back to sample the other items – lol. Service was great and helpful. Large seating area can accommodate small to large parties.

Most locals debate Volcano Crab Vs Boil Bay down the road. Let’s try to settle the debate:

The Pros:
Healthy portions of shrimp and sausage on the custom boil bag. More sausage at Volcan Crab than Boil Bay (but Boil Bay has better sausage, just less). Fried catfish was done very well, and the fries were crisp.

The Cons:
The heat-levels are low, so go a little bit more spicy than you normally would. The seasoning was okay, but was not strong. Volcano special seasoning (mix of 3 seasonings) was great, just wish there was more of it.

Side note: potato and corn were excellent, not mushy. Again just wish there was more seasoning to compliment those sides.

The Verdict:
Price-wise Volcano Crab beats Boil Bay slightly. However, I found the flavor to be better at Boil Bay regularly. Although both are excellent options, keep in mind flavor vs value when considering two stellar spots.

Visiting family in the area and stopped by this spot. The decor and inside is actually pretty nice and had a good vibe going on at 1st. My party of 4 grabbed a couple of the boil bags, some wings, and calamari. Calamari was decent, and the wings were VERY good….some of the best Ive had in a minute. I did not get a bag, but the rest of my group seemed to enjoy. I will say they appeared a bit smaller than bags Ive had at other locations, but I cant judge it. The biggest drawback was the service. We walked in and it was not too crowded…I counted at least 7 open tables and the bar area was empty but we were told it was a 20-30 minute wait? When we got our table our server had the personality of a wet napkin…no greeting, no pleasantries and acted like she wanted to be somewhere else during our entire service. It was awkward the entire meal and the biggest reason Im giving them a 3. Would I try again? Maybe but probably would not be my 1st option.

If you like shellfish & don’t mind getting your hands a little dirty, then this is the place for you! The food is amazing! The service is the best!

Be mindful of the flavors & spice selection. We ordered Cajun spice with medium heat. It was a little in the warm side for me but by husband loved it.

Portions are generous. Plenty of food for sure.

Shawna was our server. She is off the charts as the best! She helped us with menu selections & showed us how to attack our meal. If I could give Shawna 10 stars, I would.

Great seafood boil spot. Generous Mothers’ Day special, Great flavours and the service from Brianna was top-notch. Only small gripe compared to other places = they cheap out on all of the essential tools! No claw crushers, the-cheapest-disposable-gloves-possible (even the poor clean-up crew has to wear them) and picnic plastic cutlery.

I don’t know how a place like this can under perform but it did. Service was slow and bad. We had to ask our server for multiple things like utensils, crackers and drinks multiple times and STILL did not receive everything we requested. The butter was oily. The food was just ok. Potatoes were not fully cooked. I would not recommend this place.

One of my favorite places to get boils! I had the Crab Pasta tonight and it was really good! It was crab meat in every bite! I would definitely order this again!

We had the best time here for my daughter’s birthday last night! There were several large parties also there for birthdays, & we still got our food very quickly. Our server was great too! She was attentive, and checked on us just the right amount of times. Now let me tell you, the food, oh my word, the FOOD WAS FANTASTIC!! Everything was seasoned perfectly and so flavorful. My husband loves crab legs & he said they are the best he’s ever had. The best part was you can really just get down to eating & not feel like a barbarian because everyone else in the restaurant is also throwing down. You get bibs, gloves & there’s a napkin holder right on the table, plus plenty of moist towlettes. I ate corn on the cob for the first time in like 15 years with no inhibitions & it was liberating. The bartender made great drinks as well. It was such a fun experience & atmosphere! Thanks so much, we will be back! 🙂

Crab legs should come with something to cut them or break them open.
Cook guy needs to make sure all the mussels are all in the shells, 1/2 of mussels were shell only.
Outside that, the food is delicious and I like the sauce much better than most places.
I made a little fuss, the waiter/bar tender Keisha gave me another order of mussels.

Thank you Keish
