The food was delicious and well presented. Everything we tried was wonderful. For starters we had the shrimp and grits and the empanadas both were delicious but the shrimp and grits are next level. I highly recommend them.
For the main dish we had the roasted sea scallops and the red deer. Both were so amazing. The scallops were cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. The flavor of the deer was wonderful and cooked to perfection.
I had a wood cask bourbon and sherry drink that was exquisite (I highly recommend this cocktail).
For dessert we shared the pumpkin bread pudding and the apple crisp and like everything both were wonderful.
The dining experience here is one of a kind; all of the staff are attentive and so knowledgeable about all of the menu items.
We are already planning our next visit and really want to try the 5 course tasting menu!
The staff here is next-level — super attentive, friendly, and clearly trained to make sure every detail is taken care of. It honestly felt like they had someone for everything! The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance of upscale yet comfortable, and the whole place (including the bathrooms!) was spotless.
Parking downtown can be hit or miss, but it’s totally worth the effort once you’re inside. Prices are fair considering the quality and fine dining vibe — seasonal menu, definitely a great spot for a girls’ night, date night, or when you just want to treat yourself to something special.
10/10 recommend — Amelia’s Grill delivers on food, drinks, and experience. Can’t wait to go back!
We skipped the enormous wine selection or cocktails as we had dessert in our future! We split the gluten free wood fired roasted beet and Miller peaches with Brie and balsamic pecan salad, a portion easily large enough to share as seen in my photos!
The ladies split the Chilean Sea Bass with zucchini gratin, so once again my pics are the half portion and perfect presentation.
Our waiter was fabulous , ask for Jenny as there was “no attitude” about skipping the wine or sharing dishes! Of course I’d recommend a reservation and request Jenny!
Us manly men had the Campfire Atlantic Salmon with no splitting allowed by our appetites! The Salmon was absolutely stunning in taste and presentation! The asparagus and unusual hearts of palm/ artichoke cakes were similar to crab cakes with this delectable sun dried tomato cream sauce! Simply delicious with pine nut topping!
I thought my beautiful bride of 50 years had chosen the dessert that would become my only disappointment! WRONG. The bananas foster and ice cream were a delightfully surprise! The flaming occurred in the kitchen, unfortunately, but the flavor of fired carmelization was almost indescribable!
My deepest thanks to Amelia and investors ! This was a beautiful experience all around! Worth every minute and every dollar!
Oh and apologies on the dessert pic! I just dove into it with haste since we were sharing and the pictures could just wait! LOL
The only frustrating thing about the evening was the lack of consistency in our server – there were multiple times we had to flag her down in order to get her to even come over to our tabletop at the kitchen area, & we waited about 25 minutes for her to come over to our table in order to order a new round of drinks. There was *zero* check-in about how are food was, & the only reason she came back to our table at least three times when we were wanting to order drinks and dessert was because we had to flag her down after waiting for about 10+ minutes each time. The problem was, there was an older couple sitting right next to us who she was *INCREDIBLY* attentive with – so the glaring difference between how much she was consistently checking in on them was obvious. I don’t know if perhaps they were regulars or not, but my partner & I each individually felt like at one point she was completely ignoring us and then separately mentioned it at the same time. She was a lovely server, but it’s pretty frustrating to consistently time and time again have to flag down your server when you’re expecting a nice dinner. The food was delicious, but frankly the treatment left a bad taste in our mouths.
Only critique is a small one.. the blue cheese
olives in my martini did not taste like fresh hand stuffed… more like from a jar. I’m a stickler on martini olives and would recommend switching if that’s the case. Silly, I know! ♀️
