There’s a great family-run Mexican restaurant in Blanchard, located on the north side of the road just east of town, by the Chevy dealership. The salsa was delicious—I always judge a Mexican restaurant on that. The queso dip was just as good and came free with the chips. The food was excellent, very fresh and tasty.

This is absolutely my favorite Mexican food restaurant in oklahoma. The staff is super friendly can bend over backwards to make you happy and comfortable. They bring everybody out from the kitchen and all the waitresses and waiters and will sing beside your table for a birthday. Absolutely the best! And by the way is very affordable!

El Tepeyac is a family owned and operated restaurant. Their recipes and food are family original and made fresh as you order. Their food can be spicy friendly or rocket fuel according to your liking. The service is amazing and the restaurant is a family atmosphere. El Tepeyac means, “Hill” or “Small mountain” due to its legendary name and folklore according to Catholic tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared to Juan Diego in 1531. By the way, the restaurant and its employees are very patriotic and are from Blanchard. Armando is the manager there and the entire crew made us feel like family. Excellent food and friendly place, I highly recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner.

We had such a great experience at El Tepeyac! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and full of authentic flavor. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. Every bite was satisfying, from the bold flavors to the generous portions.
What really stood out was how comforting and genuine the whole experience felt. It’s the kind of place where you can tell they take pride in their food and want people to leave happy and full. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual meal or craving truly good Mexican food, El Tepeyac delivers. We’ll definitely be back!

I never do reviews but I thought it was a good time to start! I’m impressed with this place. I’m a new resident in Blanchard. I’ve eaten here twice in Two weeks and Wanted to give a shout out because both times I actually got my food to go and it was phenomenal Because if it’s freshness. The rice was very soft and moist both times abd was very noticeable. Everything I have eaten so far is really good!! Keep up the great work! One more thing..I agree it was a little pricey for one meal today but I guess I would rather it be very fresh and all that makes the price not leave so much of a bad taste in your mouth

The more Tex Mex I eat, the easier it is to differentiate in quality. El Tepeyac has been recommended to me numerous times by friends from the Blanchard area. I happen to be on my way to Duncan from Norman on highway 9 and I hadn’t eaten. I glimpsed the well lit restaurant, and immediately turned in. It has a gorgeous display out front dedicated to la Virgen de Guadalupe, and the more beautiful artwork and festive decorations inside. I was pleased to note that they offered a michelada on the menu, which I enjoy very much. Then I ordered a chile relleno stuffed with spiced ground beef and covered in a green tomatillo sauce. It came with the obligatory Spanish rice and refried beans. Don’t get me wrong, I love Spanish fries and refried beans but they are not all created equal. These refritos tasted fresh, and the rice was savory. But the star of the show was definitely the relleno. It had been sliced in such a way that the cumbersome top of the pepper had been removed and while the pepper had clearly been seared well, the delicious beef spiced to perfection that it was filled with was spot-on. I normally eat about half my food at a restaurant, and then take the rest home for another meal. I couldn’t stop eating the relleno, and I ate about half the rice and the beans as well. I was stuffed with delicious Tex-Mex as I walked to my car and saw the sun just below the horizon. The remainder of the drive home was very pleasant, and I look forward to taking my husband to El Tepeyac.

My wife was looking for red sauce enchiladas since we moved to Oklahoma, this place has them and they are delicious! Everything was so good, I had the flautas and the beef inside had great taste. If you are used to California Mexican food, this is the place for you! The Ters leches cake is a must as well.

Food is pretty decent, but you need to note the menu prices, allow for added tax and double check your total when you get to the register. I don’t trust her math.
