I was there and treated my kids for a late Xmas gathering. We are a total of 7. As the cook was preparing the food, I sat next to my daughter and grand daughter. We just had the first portion which is soup and salad, we were watching the cook do his tricks, and a small roach crawled from under the counter on walk across on the counter. My daughter use a napkin to kill it. She wanted to say something, but I didn’t want to ruin the entire setting. I drove from Pasadena to visit my kids. But the place is gross but the food was decent. But we took one for the team. I notice lots of reviews here with roaches involved. Sorry, please stay away. We’re there are roaches, you can imagine when its closed.

First time visiting. I don’t go to these Places normally since I Don’t eat meat, But I wanted to treat my mom. I got veggies and fried rice. It was yummy. My family loved the steak, lobster, Shrimp And sushi. Great experience for anyone wanting to try something great. Prices were reasonable. The experience was chefs and the servers were amazing.

I want to be honest about my experience. Overall, the visit was enjoyable, especially thanks to our cook, he was engaging, funny, and kept us all entertained throughout the meal. That energy really added a lot to the evening.

That said, I do have some concerns that I hope can be taken as constructive feedback.

When we were seated, I immediately noticed dried rice in the corner of the grill. Having worked in food service, that really grossed me out. While I was relieved the grill was cleaned before cooking, it’s important that it’s thoroughly cleaned after each use, too.

I also had to ask for a new plate because the one I was given was greasy. I could feel it on my fingers and see the shine from the light. I didn’t want to be a bother, but I kindly asked for a replacement, which the server handled very nicely. I later saw the plates are stored under the grill, which likely causes the top ones to pick up residue from previous meals. My second plate was fine, so this could be easily fixed with better storage or rotation.

As for the food, it was unfortunately underwhelming. I ordered the steak soba and my partner had the steak teriyaki, both at $28. At that price point, I expected the steak to be flavorful and well-marinated. While it was tender, it lacked seasoning. I only smelled pepper in the entire restaurant, and that seemed to be the only seasoning along with salt our chef used, along with a bit of soy or teriyaki sauce that mostly evaporated off the grill. I don’t blame the chef at all, he seemed to be following the restaurant’s guidelines, but I believe the food could be so much better if the chefs had more freedom or if the recipes embraced more depth of flavor.

I was very hungry and ended up eating three side salads, but the dressing tasted like a watered-down Thousand Island. It was edible, but definitely not enjoyable. The noodles were decent, though I doubt they were made in-house. Same goes for the dumplings, they reminded me exactly of a frozen brand I used to buy at Sam’s Club. For nearly $10, I expected something more fresh or at least with a unique flavor. These dumplings were soft all around, likely microwaved rather than pan-fried, and lacked the usual meat seasoning variation I’ve experienced at other restaurants. However I could be wrong, but the moment I bit into it, my brain took me straight back to that brand I used to by.

In the end, while the atmosphere was lively and the staff brought a lot of positive energy, the food and cleanliness didn’t meet expectations, especially at the price point. I don’t think I’ll be returning, but I do hope some improvements are made. The team clearly cares and that’s a great foundation to build from.

Treated my Valentine at this place for the first time. Dinner cooked right in front of your eyes to your hearts desire. Had the chicken, steak combo hubby had the shrimp and steak combo meal comes with soup, veggies, and salad. Everything was made fresh and tasty. Chef put on a mini performance while he cooked. Super funny and friendly. We got to sit with a really nice family whom ended up paying our meal. I couldn’t believe it. Feeling blessed! Wonderful time. We will definitely return. If you love sushi, they have that too.

Brought my niece here for lunch. We ordered drinks, and the zombie drink looked nothing like the menu. And it wasn’t a strong drink like it claims. We didn’t have to wait long for our food to be cooked in front of us. I think to have the environment more inviting is to play some really cool theme type music that goes with the atmosphere. It was quiet in there.

Today we celebrated our son’s 17th birthday at our beloved teppanyaki restaurant, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. We’ve been dining here for years, ever since he was in his mom’s womb, and it remains a family favorite.

Our server, Coco, was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and brought a great sense of humor to our dining experience, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of.

Our cook Andrew, did an exceptional job today. The food he prepared was nothing short of 5 stars. Every dish was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor and presented beautifully.

This restaurant has consistently provided us with memorable meals and wonderful service, making it our go-to spot for special occasions and family dinners. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable teppanyaki experience.

Wait time was about 40 minutes do to then being understaffed but the experience was worth it. Our cook was friendly and making puns while preparing our food. There is a 15% added tip automatically to your check for a party of six or more though. We however did enjoy the atmosphere and their good food

Absolutely miserable experience. Our server spoke politely, but her complete lack of energy made the entire visit feel cold and unpleasant. Every interaction felt like a chore for her, and it was clear she couldn’t care less about making the experience enjoyable. Friendly words mean nothing when the attitude is this bad. The restaurant needs staff who actually want to be there and can provide real service this was a complete letdown from start to finish.

Service was really Horrible toke them 15 mins just to come and take our order due to just standing there talking to each other. When our server did get to our table she was really rude (EMILY). After finally taking our order toke chef another 30 mins to come out mind you we were the only ones at the table. Food had no flavor and the chicken had a nasty smell to it. When we ask for the chicken to be changed out chef got upset and rude with us. This use to be one of my favorite places to eat but never again will I return.
