The food was unbelievably good! The service was excellent. You don’t even need syrup on the French toast, it’s so good! The biscuits were perfect and freshly made from scratch! We took home some desserts and of course, some tea cakes!

I came across Uncle Honey’s Home Style Desserts after reading a post on another social media site. This place is close to me, although I have never heard of or seen the place and it was opened in 2015. I was pleasantly surprised when I made the visit. The shop is located in an unassuming shopping center, near a tire shop. I almost missed it even with my GPS and had to drive around the area. Once you park and walk up to the doors, you can smell the scent of baked goods permeating through the door. The friendly lady at the shop greeted me before I even stepped into the store. I went after 12:00 so many of the desserts were sold out. I got the banana pudding (single serving), the 7-up pound cake with lemon glaze, and buttermilk tea cakes. I tried a little bit of everything when I got home. I’ve never had tea cakes and was curious. These were delicious -not too sweet, slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The banana pudding was delicious – I told my son that it was even better than the one at the Grand Central Station in NYC!! The pound cake – dense and moist, just like what a pound cake is supposed to taste. Overall, everything was delicious! I will be going back to get some more! PS -They have a Saturday brunch but I have not tried it yet!
JANUARY 2026 UPDATE;
Yum! I went there for breakfast this time! The restaurant is spacious and laid back. I ordered Belgian waffles and wings. It took awhile for my breakfast to come but when it came, it looked delicious! The waffle was “plump” and light and the chicken wings were seasoned well. The staff was courteous and attentive. The owner was at the register and she’s always nice! I totally enjoyed my breakfast.

Let’s start off by saying the customer service was amazing. The plate with the fork is my turkey omelette for me the veggies were crunchy which will not stop me from coming back for another one. My husband said his omelette was the same but that should not stop you from coming to try the omelette.The price is reasonable for two. I talked to Uncle Honey and Miss Renae they are some amazing people. This is most definitely a family business they make you feel like family ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my 30 star as promised

I walked in this morning and every single person on the staff spoke and said good morning. That is so rare these days. I ordered the Uncle breakfast to go. Food was hot. The presentation was amazing and the taste was just as amazing.!!!

My dad needed to eat something while we were out and about and this place had great reviews so I stopped in. I learned that breakfast is only served on the weekends, but also that they have a few bakery items that completely make up for that!
Based on the reviews, I purchased the banana pudding and lots of tea cakes. Wow! Delicious! Incredible! I will now be making this stop every time I am near this spot.

I love the teacakes, but the female manager was very very rude. Full disclaimer: I called Before I went to buy the delicious teacakes and asked the lady who answered the phone, could I place my order, and drive up near the door to collect my order. The reason I couldn’t enter the restaurant, is because I had my puppy riding in the car with me, and I couldn’t leave her by herself in the car. The lady on the phone told me that it was fine. She gave me my total, I happily went to Uncle Honey’s. I then called when I arrived at the restaurant, as I said I would, and another female answered the phone. She texted asked why I couldn’t come in yo get my teacake order, and I repeated the telephone conversation. She then placed me on hold and never came back to the phone. About 5 minutes later, the lady who I originally talked to- came out and collected my money. She returned inside the building, and came back out with my change, and said, ‘well my manager has informed me that we can’t do curbside drop offs.’ Here’s the gag: I bought 39.50 worth of teacakes… not a pack or 2… I bought 11 to 12 packages of teacakes- CLOSE TO 50 TEACAKES…. so.. that’s about 4 dozen teacakes? And… the manager had the nerve to have a nasty attitude?! Are you serious?! The very next time I purchase teacakes from Uncle Honey’s, I’ll speak to the manager personally because this managerial response is unacceptable. I totally get the fact that curbside service isn’t offered.. but customer service and positivity goes a long way. In conclusion: Teacakes =☆☆☆☆☆. The lady who I spoke with originally on the phone= ☆☆☆☆☆[I’ll tip her on my next visit. The manager = A flaming oh hell no stamp.
Anyhoo… y’all try the teacakes, talk to Uncle Honey and the Lil lady with the glasses… Avoid the ‘manager’, because obviously she really believes that her title entitled her to be rude.
