Came here to try the baked french onion soup, it did not disappoint! Raymes might be my new favorite restaurant, can’t wait to come back a try more menu items. We enjoyed the pot roast, calamari, and baby back ribs.

We’ve been going to Raymes on and off since it opened in 1974. Since the fire and rebuild, we’ve only made it back a few times, but tonight’s visit stood out.
The food was good—solid and satisfying—but what really made the evening enjoyable was the service. Attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, the staff elevated the whole experience.
The remodel has improved the atmosphere compared to the old space, giving it a fresher and more inviting feel. Overall, it was a pleasant dinner, thanks in large part to the kind of service that can truly make or break a meal.

My daughter recommended this place so this was our first time dining. The food was delicious and the drinks were great as well. We will definitely be making a return trip.

So this was my wife and I first date night in quite a while. I have driven past this place for over a year to and from work everyday. I see lots of cars there most times, so I figured, something in there is good and I wanna know what. Turns out, everything in there is good.
Best ribeye, I may have ever had, cooked to perfection and the baked clams were a fantastic appetizer to start.
My dinner drink was nice and strong and the bread was so fresh and yummy. We will return soon to try these Crab cakes I keep hearing about, that were sold out by the time we ordered. My said Gary’s Pasta was fantastic as well. Thank you to everyone, we’ll be back sooner rather than later.

Had Christine as a server tonight. She was fantastic. Took very good care of us, was very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of.
Had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, full rack of ribs and ribeye with bleu cheese topping for the main course. Key Lime pie was excellent, but a little heavy.
No problem recommending or planning on going back!

This was my first time here. A friend told me they had the best Chicken Pot Pie, So I decided to try it out.
We arrived early, before the dinner rush.
The menu had a number of amazing options, but I stuck with the pot pie.
A bread basket and butter was brought to the table to share. I also ordered an appetizer of crab stuffed mushrooms that were very good. Our meal also came with a really great salad. There was plenty of food that I had leftovers, plus I ordered a dessert to take home.
The food was amazing all the way across. We could not find one thing wrong with anything.
By the time we left, the restaurant was packed and there was no available parking.
If I could pick apart anything, it was that the dinning is very low light with candles lighting each table. So though it has great ambiance, it’s hard to read the menu.

This was my 2nd time eating at Raymes, and it was another wonderful experience. The food was fantastic. We came in before the dinner rush. Debbie was our waitress, and she was wonderful. It was a quiet atmophere and easy to conversate. Even as It started to get busy around 5, it wasn’t too noisy. We could hear each other easily. Service still stayed on point with the dinner rush. Everything from the appetizers to the main dinner dish was excellent. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and they were cooked perfectly. They weren’t greasy like most places. They were presented nicely and had a nice crunch too as you bit into them. The salad was very crisp and fresh. I ordered a filet mignon and my parents ordered the popular pot roast. The filet was cooked just how I like and full of flavor. I ordered a baked potato with my steak, and that was cooked nicely too. My parents loved the pot roast. My mom let me try some of hers, and the meat was so easy to eat and delicious. Some of the best I’ve tried and the best they have had. We also got dessert at the end since we loved everything so much. I ordered coffee and the chocolate lava cake & my mom ordered the cheesecake- turtle style with pecans, carmel, and chocolate. My dad ordered the seasonal bread pudding with a glass of milk. So glad I remembered this place as we were in the area and thought it’d be a great opportunity to introduce my parents to it. We will be back! Thanks again for a wonderful experience. My parents are enjoying trying new places and getting out of their comfort zone! They wanted to go to Olive Garden but I convinced them to give this a try, especially for their 49th anniversary!! They were very impressed and happy we ended up @ Raymes!

Similar to a supper club. Very generous bar pour and drinks are fanatic. Bar staff superb! We ordered horseradish crusted grouper, best end had. Ordered porterhouse steak, perfectly prepared. Our dessert was a chocolate martini and a espresso martini! Yum

I liked this place. It could be a solid comfort food location. It has been here forever and there’s a reason for it. Nothing was over the top great, but nothing disappointed either. If I wanted an OK place to drop in and get reasonable food – this is the spot for me. I had the walleye because I’m a sucker for walleye. I had it broiled and unfortunately, it wasn’t as flavorful as I was hoping. But as with everything. It was a-OK. With the walleye I had the sweet potato which was marginally better. Also I went with the soup option and had the spicy black bean soup. I totally get why it is a menu favorite. Probably the highlight of the meal. If you want a low fuss spot, this is for you.

It was a birthday celebration at a highly recommended restaurant. We were looking for steak and seafood and we found it in abundance. The specials were just that, very special. The pretzel encrusted salmon was savory. The steaks were all cooked to perfection, the chicken was juicy, and the twice baked potatoes and salads were perfection. The wait staff was very gracious and attentive. Their King-sized cocktails are a real treat. When it came time for dessert we ordered the blueberry cheese cake special which our server delivered with a candle. The perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
As a side note Raymes was rebuilt after the great Lisle flood over 10 yrs ago. The new design has kept the cozy supper club appeal. A great gem that we will definitely enjoy again.
