My husband, my son, & I visited the area for the weekend & decided to try something we had never heard of before… Smooth Rapids Grill was our pick & it was great! They have plenty of choices on their menu. We were seated immediately. I’m sure in Spring/Summer seasons that isn’t always the case so I would keep that in mind. The service was awesome. The atmosphere is super cute & cozy. The food was phenomenal! They had live music on the outdoor patio that started around 6:30 so we stayed & listened for a few. There are several TVs inside the dining area for watching sports. According to signage, you can also rent kayaks & camp nearby. It seems like a definite hidden gem as it is off the main roads in town. We would definitely visit again!

What more can you ask for than a place that has food, tubing and kayaking, and camping. The staff is amazing and super friendly. The tubing was so much fun. We went after it rained, so the water was a little ruff, which added to the fun. The food was delicious. There were so many great options that I couldn’t decide, so I ordered 4 different appetizers. Everyone else was able to eventually decide, and their food was also really good. The food came out really quick. We didn’t do the camping this time, but we heard other people talking about it.

Went here for mine and my wife’s anniversary. We sat outside on the deck to have our dinner. The atmosphere was great, the service was awesome and the food was perfect, especially the Voodoo sauce that was on our fried shrimp. While we ate we were able to look over the river, which made it very peaceful and comfortable. I highly recommend Smooth Rapids to anyone looking for a great meal and great service!!!!

I ordered the pepper branch burger to go and it was super tasty. Not that spicy but I’m a heat-lover. I asked for a side of their chunky blue cheese and it complemented great (I used to dip my fries). They got it right and it was hot even though I was driving from 35min away.

First time kayaking and I love it! 4 hours floating down the river relaxing with my fam and I’m wondering why I didn’t do this sooner. The staff is friendly and helpful, they made a great experience even better. Sitting in the restaurant upstairs, excited about eating after working up an appetite doing nothing all morning. Menu looks great, atmosphere cool with quirky decorations. We will definitely be coming back.

Had a great time as a ladies trip. We arrived late and they were very accommodating and understanding. The equipment was in good shape and no issues with getting in or out of the river. Shuttle arrived promptly when we called. Bathrooms were in good shape. The river is beautiful and there are plenty of places to get out and stretch your legs. Overall I thought it was amazing and I will definitely return.
