We are locals that love finding new spots to eat in the Greater Cincinnati area. Mt. Adam’s Bar & Grill is definitely worth a try! It’s extremely deceiving when you first walk in the front door. We were expecting a bar atmosphere and not a unique dining room atmosphere. The hostess took us thru the front bar area, through a middle dining area and into a midsize back dining area with plenty of windows for natural light. They have plenty of food and drink options. We chose the chicken salad sandwich and a burger. The food and service were great.
We will definitely be back again!

If you want a good French onion soup it’s a vibrant taste here. The atmosphere in the back hits the spot would love to see it in the spring time. Great customer service. Happy I discovered this place. Will be back.

What a fun place with great food. The reviews on here got me interested and the whole experience was awesome.
Real neat looking building on the outside and the vibe was super fun on the inside. I ordered a single cheeseburger as the description said it was 1/4 lb. But the patty is smaller than you think so don’t be scared of the double.
Chips are the default side dish and I missed that on the menu. Ruffles are fine but their fries are rather tasty.
My wife loved her veggie burger and the homemade lemonade was ridiculously tart! Hurt your jaw tart. 🙂
We got lucky and found street parking just a block away; it’s really snug in the neighborhood.

Grew up in Cincy and frequented Mt.Adams bar & grill a lot twenty years ago. Moved back recently and took my partner here before a show last year. Food was just awful. His sandwich literally had about 2 ounces of meat in it- he told server and showed her and all she could say was “wow, well the kitchen is slammed right now.” Fast forward 7 months decided to give it another shot, I get so damn nostalgic over this place. Food was even worse. I ordered turkey burger advertised in a mouth watering way of course. It was, without question, a frozen patty that tasted like it had been in the freezer for way too long. The coleslaw that came with it was clearly Sysco’s finest, a soup of may and sugar.
If you don’t really care about food quality and you just want to eat somewhere casual on the hill at a place that has a fun and eclectic vibe, go for it. If you’re not into eating overpriced garbage, go elsewhere.

The french onion soup was gross. No cheese oven melted on top. Just some grated shredded cheese thrown in. Very bland. The worst french onion soup in town. Waited on a refill of cranberry juice and no one was in the restaurant causing any delay and was charged for a refill. I paid $12 for 2 juices for my kid. The sandwiches were barely full of meat. Don’t waste your money on this place.

Mt Adams, a historic bar & grill that was Ohio’s FIRST bar to receive a liquor license. Its historic charm and nicknacks are enough to keep you entertained for a good few hours, if only the food made you want to stay. I ordered a standard burger & my mom had the veggie burger. Both came out cold and my burger pattie was incredibly small. I was too hungry to care, and was just enjoying my time at the restaurant. I would say it’s worth visiting for a drink and to enjoy its beauty and history but skip the food.

This bar was close to our hotel reservation, used the paid parking garage a block from the bar as street parking was limited. Visted at the end of the evening but would recommend. Bartender (Matt) was extremely friendly, very generous/helpful to us and the regulars. Food was good and hot, drinks were cold. Great history of the bar. Bar next door is owned by same owner too.

We were excited to visit the Mount Adams Bar and Grill based on its reputation and historic location. We were staying in the neighborhood, so it felt fitting to make a stop.
While the atmosphere did not disappoint, we were underwhelmed by the food and service. One visit was enough for us.
