I wasn’t a fan of the sweet potato pie because it didn’t taste homemade at all and was too sweet with an ingredient that I don’t usually taste in homemade sweet potato pie. It’s ok, the fish and fries were on point? 2 stars on atmosphere just because it’s made for you to order at the corner and wait in your car which is fine by me:)
But by the grace of God they had me to bring it back…
Thanks for your hospitality.
There Catfish is seasoned the way I like it.
Come by and order and pick out your own Catfish/f…been coming here for years…
I had already devoured most of my catfish nugget plate before I remembered to take a picture of it and this is some of the best food I’ve had since moving to Oklahoma
It’s amazing the fish was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well it didn’t need any sauce! (It’s amazing with hot sauce though )
The potato wedges were shockingly good I didn’t expect them to be breaded. Easily my new favorite fries!!
I also bought some fish to take home and it’s extremely fresh I’m excited to make dinner tonight!
Everything was a 10/10 including the customer service! Loved it they will be seeing me often!!!
Cut to today, I was talking with my mother and she informed me that she was hungry, so I offered to take her to lunch. Instead of going to our usual places, I thought I would take her to Bob’s Fish and Seafood as I know she loves fish. When we arrived, it looked just like it always has and when we went inside the employees were just as friendly as they always were. We purchased her the two-piece catfish meal that came with catfish, coleslaw, potato wedges and hush puppies. I also got a piece of the apple pie, because it looked amazing and well, I was wanting some apple pie.
We placed our order and then we were given a number to hang in our car where we would wait for our order to be brought out to us. Less than 5 minutes later we our food was delivered to us. Not wanting to wait and let the fish get cold on our trip back home, we sat in the parking lot and ate it. Now my review would be fine, but I was more interested in what mother said as she loves catfish and has eaten it from many places. So, after she had eaten it, I asked her what she thought. She informed me that it was quite possibly the best catfish she had ever eaten, and she would be back. The fish was amazing, but something that really intrigued her was the potato wedges. They were battered in the same seasoned cornmeal that the fish was, it was an interesting idea that I personally had never seen, and it resulted in potato wedges that mimicked the texture of the catfish.
In addition to serving prepared fish Bobs is also a fish market, so you can get fresh fish to take home as well. Before you go, you should be aware that there is no place to sit down and eat inside. We ordered inside and we had our food brought out to us in minutes. One option that is available that we saw many taking advantage of was the ability to call ahead and place an order to go.
I was incredibly pleased with our trip to Bob’s Fish and Seafood, hopefully we will get something as tasty as Bob’s Fish and Seafood out in our area of the world sometime. I think a good fish restaurant would be great.
Just a side not to this trip, I also stopped by HeavenLee BBQ on the way back to Choctaw. Because I didn’t see the point in driving down 36th street and not stopping to grab some pineapple tea and some smoked sausage.
