We have passed by this place so many times and it wasn’t until someone recently told us how good it was that we decided to give it s try and were glad we did!

We pulled in and found it was packed! We put our name in with the hostess and she said it would be about a 25 minute wait after she walked around to double check, (it was only 2 of us and everyone else waiting were larger parties.) Anyway, I noticed 2 possible open seats at the bar (beer and wine only). The seats were indeed available so my husband let the hostess know to remove our name.

We sat down and Audrey immediately acknowledged us. She took our beverage order and I was so happy that when she knew I wanted a red, her immediate response was, “I just opened a cab if you like cabs.” I do like cabs and I don’t like a red that has been opened for a while. Anyway, we perused the menu and noticed the prices were decent. Someone else behind the counter acknowledged us and said she coul take our order whenever we’re ready. This was Grace. We asked her for pizza recommendations and she gave us 3. We chose the tutti carne. We did have to replace the pepperoni out for bacon because they were out of the roni.

Anyway, half had onions (onions don’t like Steve) and we both agreed, the flavor was great, they weren’t stingy on the meats, and yes, this was a good pizza. We like food that is served by friendly staff, tastes good, and has a decent price. We found all 3 of these things in Piazza and we will return for sure. Oh, and we also met some regulars, Odessa and Ron and they are there once a week. So who knows, maybe you’ll find us there once a week as well.

Can’t beat this lovely local Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is artistic and inviting. Clean restrooms. Bar and patio seating available. The staff are a cut above, very helpful and accommodating. I had lunch here with my husband. We each had the lunch special of pizza and salad. You choose from several options of each. Pizza is wood fired while you wait. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Full bar and Coke products.

Pizza was very good as well as the Greek salad! Quality ingredients, good service and plenty of free parking.

While passing through, a local recommended this pizza spot, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The wood-fired pizza imparted a wonderful flavor to the crust, which was the perfect thickness—not too thin like New York style and not too thick like deep dish. I tried the Hawaii 5-0, and it was the ideal combination of pineapple, ham, red onions, and plenty of fresh mozzarella. The small Caesar salad was also a standout—delicious and generously sized, easily enough for two to share.

Took my son here for his 13th birthday. The decor had old wooden pizza patties on the walls and colored glass wine bottles as part of thr art which was very interesting. The pizza we had was some of the best in East Asheville. Our server was very nice and kept our drinks full. The restaurant was clean and inviting.

Italian restaurant harshly. That said she really enjoyed her meal. We shared the fried calamari and it was very good and you get a very good portion for the money. My wife and our son shared the Margarita Pizza and they both loved it. I ordered the Meatball sub with a side caesar salad and I was also very happy with my meal. The sub was huge and you could really taste the actual meatball itself. Our son has a serious sweet tooth so he had his first cannoli our his life and now it’s a new favorite of his. Also this placed earned points for what I assume to be the owner of this restaurant, he is an fluent speaking Italian from Sardegna and my wife and him had a brief conversation in Italian which is rare to find in the south.

If we lived here it’d be a routine stop.

Some of the best pizza I’ve had. Nice place with indoor, outdoor and bar seating. The take out counter was constant. Desserts are the bomb with lots of options, very friendly staff?

Very disappointed with my most recent visit. We attempted to call in a to go order and no one ever answered the phone. We went to order in person and were rudely told the wait would be at least 1 hour for to go orders. The dining space had empty tables and no one waiting. Service is not what it has been in the past. Hopefully it will improve.

My review is only regarding the pizza and restaurant, I have not tried the other menu offerings but will update accordingly. It is true wood fired pizza and good. For the Portnoy fans, I rated this pie a 7.5. Pizza has no flop, minimal crisp until you get to the crust, good undercarriage, and flavors are good but I did desire a bit more. I prefer NY style pizza over wood fired but this was good pizza. I would’ve liked more doneness, a thinner-crispier crust, and a bit more char. Staff were nice. If you are in East Asheville or the Fairview area, this is probably your best bet for pizza.
