I did not know this Caribbean Restaurant was here. I parked in front of it while headed to the event center next door. I decided to grab a quick bite, and I’m glad I did. The young man was very courteous and responsive as soon as I walked in. The restaurant was clean with smooth, laid back music. It has a nice vibe. Oh, the beef patty was amazing. I’ll definitely be back.

While staying at a local hotel in Locust Grove I happen to be reading a publication for Henry County, “Better Explored.” This led me to Reggae Vybz. Both my husband and I are originally from Miami, Florida and now living in Southern Georgia we find it hard to find good Caribbean food. So finding out they might have some in Hampton was just what we needed. Better yet my husband was in Griffin and I was googling the directions for the Hampton location when I found out they have a Reggae Vybz ll in Griffin. Look at God.

The drive was 7 minutes away. We ordered a large Oxtail with peas and rice, cabbage and plantains. My husband had Curry goat with the same sides and he had a beef patty. Now the drive from the Griffin location to Locust Grove took my husband about 20 minutes. Baby, when I tell you that the food was still hot…it had steam coming from the containers. I knew this was going to be good. I wasn’t disappointed. The food was GOOD!

Husband said the customer service was good, restaurant smelled clean, food came out fast and that beef patty was hot and fresh. Keep doing what y’all do ❤️

So a couple of days after this first review, my husband and I went back to grab a couple of drinks and some beef patties. This was about 3 in the afternoon, the restaurant was clean, but most importantly those beef patties were piping hot and delicious! Definitely recommend to anyone in the mood for great service and food. 20 out of 10.

I wanted the curry shrimp, hold the curry. The cook said he couldn’t do that. He had an attitude. Okay, so my second choice was a veggie plate. I wanted to add a spinach pie, they were out. So then I wanted two jerk chicken rolls, they were out of those TOO! We wanted to come here because the Griffin location is less than a ten minute drive. No apologies from the cashier. She suggested the Hampton location. Didn’t want to be disappointed a second time. We went to Jamaican Taste on 19/41 Our regular spot. Where we’ll be going from now on…

I could smell the food from across the street while getting my car detailed. I was told where to go. I ordered a small curry chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. The food was pretty good. The plantains were hot and fresh. My cabbage was a little over cooked and just kinda warm. Curry chicken and rice and peas was good. I couldn’t finish it. I would recommend them for lunch and will come back if I’m in the area. They’re having a Sneaker Ball Saturday Dec 21st.

I was so glad to see a Caribbean spot in Griffin. The atmosphere is very nice! The location is good!

The food was pretty decent. Even though the meal I chose came with 2 sides there is an additional $2 to double the Mac and cheese as a side. I wish the Mac would have had a bit more cheese on it so it isn’t majority noodles. When I placed my order for the jerk chicken they asked if I wanted it spicy and I said yes but there was no kick or heat to it at all just tasted like bar b que chicken. The rice and peas are literally that; I’m use to rice and a softer bean so I was a little thrown off by the actual small hard pea shaped veggies included.

The beef patties (didn’t make it for the picture) lol was okay as well. The meat was a little mushy and the patties took a little extra nudge to break apart.

Overall, the food didn’t taste bad. I’ll be back to try the jerk spring rolls, they were out when I placed my order.

This place is getting a five star rating from me solely off of how accommodating they were! I wanted to surprise my boo with some doordashed lunch, so I looked up a Jamaican food spot near him and came across this place. After looking this place up on TikTok, I was like bet. So as I am ordering the food, there was a box where you can add in special requests (usually to specify spice level) and an idea popped into my head. I typed, “Can you write on the box ‘For my honey, love Ray’ and maybe draw a heart?”. I literally have never done anything like this and wasn’t sure if they would even see it. But I am proud to say they were able to add on that extra little flare to my baby’s surprise and I am so grateful! Plus he said the food was 10/10 so I’ll definitely be ordering again, this time for myself!

If you’re craving Jamaican food and don’t feel like cooking or washing dishes, this place will satisfy your craving. Overall, it’s good food. It may not be as good as your grandma’s homemade Jamaican food but this will still hit the spot.

Their small oxtail portion is nearly almost as identical as the large oxtail order. If you want to save a little money get the small order.

Their goat curry portion is very generous and it is also delicious.

My sides were cabbage, mac & cheese, plantains, beef patty and chicken patty.

Cabbage and mac & cheese were okay. Overall taste good.

Beef Patty and Chicken Patty doesn’t taste any special. Taste like you can get it from a frozen isle.

Authentic carribean food. We were visiting Griffin and stopped in for a late lunch.

We enjoyed the peas & rice, cabbage, plantains, veggie & spinach patties. The food was seasoned just right (not too salty), served at the right temperature, and not overpriced. They offer indoor seating and good music. Plenty of parking.

I highly recommend this establishment.

This new spot is much closer to me. The service is excellent, the food is actually cooked right, and you can tell they take pride in putting out REAL quality Jamaican cuisine. And don’t pass on the specials cause they are hitting 100%. I’m planning on being a regular. The only thing I hate is that they don’t do soups, and I understand why. Because a lot of folks aren’t up to speed with the culture, that’s something that wouldn’t be good if it didn’t pan out….but Manish water on Friday, man, I wish
