I had never been here before, even though I work for a lot of businesses in cave creek during their security cameras and audio and video.So today, I took my new employee to hansens for lunch.
We ordered the pork green chili, but you guys didn’t have it.So we decided to get the cowboy hamburger cheeseburger.
An hour later, one of our burgers was done, and it was burnt crispy even though we ordered both of them medium.And it was literally a tiny piece of meat in between two tiny buns.And that was it nothing else. We asked for our money back and went down the street to chipotle and got served in three minutes and yes, it’s disgusting,but at least we ate. My employee took one bite of its hamburger and spit it out.He said it was that disgusting.

The worst bbq food we have ever had. Was nearly $30 for 2 meats and 2 sides, the portions of meat were TINY, & served at room temperature. The street corn was served frozen/cold? + They were out of two of their 5? side options. really gross and a huge waste of money. Worst dinner we’ve had.
Bartender chicks were okay, no hello or any explanation on how to order but once we talked to them they were nice. Little western town is cool.

If you like BBQ brisket, really like BBQ brisket, you must try Hansens Cowboy BBQ. The meat was so moist and flavorful. The sauces are absolutely delicious! The potato salad was the perfect compliment. I also ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs to take home! This food is awesome and the service is friendly and ready answer all the million questions I had.it is outdoor patio dining. Mister system for comfortable dining. Beautiful music adds to the charming cowboy atmosphere.

This place has the best barbecue in town. And when I say, “in town,” I mean in the Phoenix Metro Area. I’ve had a lot of barbecue all over the country from small holes in the wall to fancy sit downs and big chains, and nothing else in the valley had ever satisfied this Texas country boy’s craving for barbecue quite like this. The brisket is moist and bursting with flavor. The short ribs held right up until I bit down, and then the meat came right apart. No having to rip it apart and no worrying about it falling off as soon as I tried to pick it up. The chicken held a beautiful smoky flavor, and the pulled pork was so good my dainty wife scarfed it down before I had a chance to try it.
All this in a country atmosphere. They have a little western town built out that the kids can explore when they’re not doing a miniature rodeo. Live music, friendly workers, and an overall feel that you really have managed to leave the city behind. 5 stars don’t feel like enough.

Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had and massive portions! The owner also comped the meal due to his POS credit card system being down. He really didn’t have to do that but it was appreciated. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in AZ

First time here and I had an unpleasant experience today!! The ordering system is extremely inefficient! Stood for several minutes (30-40mins) to order anything drinks or food. Ordered pork green chilli and got the order more than an hour later. Later we ordered brisket platter and brisket nachos. Did not receive the nachos at all and platter was significantly delayed as well.
We were there especially to listen to Train to Juarez but not sure if we want to go back again.
It was warm and when the sprinklers came on, it was wet because the system was cheap and soaked up the place instead of closing it.

Was NOT a good bbq joint. Got my order wrong twice and when I did get my food there was hardly no meat on the sandwich and had no taste at all. Will never eat there again. And the outside seating was terrible. Had to watch and make sure the chairs didn’t give you a splitter.
