Last night was my first time and I will be coming back! We made a reservation specifically for the Omaha’s Restaurant Week featuring the three course menu. All the courses were amazing. Presentation of the dishes looked stunning. The hostess and waiter were super nice. The waiter let us share the course and provided an extra plate. For me I tend to eat smaller portions so appreciated the accommodation. We also ordered as an extra the frites fries. They came out fresh and hot and the truffle oil with parmesan added a nice touch. We cleared everything on the plates!

My daughter had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while so we finally made it but we were pretty disappointed with our experience. Some of the food was really good like the bruchetta appetizer and the Midtown Meatloaf. But the coconut chicken salad was just ok and the lettuce wraps were almost inedible because they were very spicy. Our waitress disappeared about half-way through our meal so we didn’t get any refills and we had to wait quite a while after we were finished to ask for our ticket and a to-go box.

My partner and I were here for brunch and we were sitting on the same side of the table (I know, terrible) and kissing (a regular amount for people who like each other). The manager brought us our food and told us to stop kissing. I thought she was joking because that’s so absurd to ask someone to do and so I said no we wouldn’t. So then she proceeds to tell us that she will box up our food for us which made me realize she was serious. I apologized and told her yes we could stop and that I was sorry for laughing but I thought she was joking. She told us she received complaints about us kissing. There was only ONE other table in the whole restaurant at the time and they were also queer, so I am certain they weren’t complaining. On top of that she was SO angry with us and repeated several times that we had to stop kissing or leave and she was incredibly rude about it. A person is only that emotionally invested when the message is coming from themself, there was no reason for her not to be professional if she was actually passing along a complaint from another table. We were not being inappropriate in any way but this was completely inappropriate of her to treat us this way. I’m hoping Jams doesn’t have a problem with queer people and that she is just a lonely prude who doesn’t know what a loving relationship looks like, but either way, she wins and we will not be back to find out.

I’m going to throw a 5 on this because the food was excellent for the prices. We came in about an hour before close on a Friday, and got pretty mediocre service as it seemed they were already wrapping up for the night, but the menu is has a lot of variety and I wanted to try everything on it. If I pass through again, I definitely will!

Our server was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. We started with the Onion Ring appetizer which was a hot and crispy very large portion. The Blue Crab Egg Rangoon Egg Rolls appetizer was very tasty. The Beer-Battered Fish & Chips was a large portion and fried up to perfection. Ricos’ Hot Turkey was flavorful and Parmesan Chicken Bucatini was delicious.

I’ve been going to Jams for years and have always had a great experience. The food is consistently great and the menu is diverse. The service is a little slow so expect to be there for a bit. Overall it’s a fun environment with great food – enjoy!

Ordered the cod sandwich asked for the coleslaw on the side not on the sandwich and no tartar sauce. Sandwich came out with coleslaw and tartar sauce on it. I said something they remade it and again put tartar sauce on it. The fish had a good taste was over fried. The bun was nicely toasted.

Delicious appetizers and entrees all around with generous portion sizes. The drinks were fantastic as well (got mocktails). Highly recommend the coconut chicken salad!

Amazing Sunday brunch experience with the best waiter in Omaha. Let’s start by saying these are tasty Bloody Mary’s at Jams. The food was excellent. Everything was spot on. The waiter made you feel at home and did everything possible to provide the best experience. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The food has gone downhill! You haven’t been to jams in a few months. We were very disappointed. We had the lettuce wraps which were bland. And I had the fish tacos which were just fried fish in a taco and not a lot of seasoning. The waitress was excellent. But the food was nowhere near what we had been accustomed to a chance. Probably not going back again.
