First time here, maybe my favorite bbq in town. The brisket sandwich my wife got was tender and extremely tasty. The homemade Bourbon bbq sauce was sweet and delicious on the brisket (that didn’t need sauce). I went for the beef cheek tacos on special with some of their spicy bbq sauce.. EXCELLENT! HIGHLY recommend a visit.

The facility was nice and clean however we couldn’t figure out where the trash can was till we trying to leave as there was only one trash can by the entrance door and that was it . The young female working there did not look like she wanted to be there at all. We paid over $100 for 3 kids and 2 adults so that makes it about $25 per person which is expensive. There’s no kids menu option either. So you are paying for an adult meal for a child. The owner seemed nice and had a good vibe so loved that. But I can’t lie I didn’t even finish my meal which was the brisket enchiladas cause it was not good. There was just something off like a chemically taste to it so I sat and watched my family eat. So was a waste of money.. just wasn’t good I’m sorry . I did get to try the sausage and it was good . My husband said the pickles he got also tasted off as well like chemical taste . But said his sandwich was good . But overall pretty expensive for what we got .but overall 3/5 due to food tasting off and expense. If we visit again and the food is better I will update my review

Another great visit and my first to the new location. The new location is very spacious, well decorated and a great spot!! Today was Taco Tuesday, and they did not disappoint.

Your options were Smoked Brisket, Pulled Pork and Smoked Sausage. I decided to try all 3 and wished I had ordered 6 more. They were some tasty, and kept you wanting more all the way to the last bite.

If you’ve never been or it’s been awhile. I highly recommend a visit to Smokin Barrel BBQ

It’s so much food! These are the leftover we are taking home after filling up for lunch! We ordered a pork sandwich, 2 meat plate with turkey and brisket. Sides potato salad and trail beans. Everything was so good! The turkey was super tender and the beans had huge chunks of brisket in it. We will definitely be back!

My first visit here was for lunch, and it was a major disappointment. I ordered the two-meat combo (brisket and ribs), and my total came to $32, which is incredibly expensive for lunch. They gave me a jalapeño cheese sausage I didn’t order and said it was free, but with a price that high, I’m not so sure.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t justify the cost. The ribs were dry and buried in pepper, and the brisket was extremely greasy. As someone who has eaten plenty of amazing barbecue right here in Omaha, this was not it. Save your money this place is overpriced for the quality you get.

2 meat meal was close to $30 as pictured and their “family meal” is advertised on their menu as costing $256 plus tax. That’s actually hilarious. KCBS Certified Judge score Brisket 8 (overcooked / too tender [yes, it’s a thing]), Ribs 5.5 (too much pepper).

I’ve lived in Texas for the better part of forty years and this place NAILS IT!
The Brisket was moist and tasty. The Jalapeno & Cheddar sausage was really good. Not quite as hot as back home. But, my flavor profile likes serious heat.
The potato salad was delicious!
Cap all of that off with quintessential Nebraska Nice.
Two Thumbs Up!

Nice smokey flavor to everything! I feel like it was just two people handling everything which backed things up a bit but once we got the food it was great! Highly recommend this place. Got the 2 meat plate which picked brisket and sausage then sides was the beans which was excellent and then got the chili which had a bite to it for warning lol everything was delicious and excited to visit the new location when it opens

Wow! This place absolutely blew us away. My wife and I previously lived in St. Louis and have had some amazing barbecue in the past, but this was completely unexpected and insanely good. We got the brisket and the turkey and tried the beef tri-tip and all were juicy, dripping in flavor, and so unique for Omaha. Wayne, the owner, is extremely gracious and will likely sample you barbecue prior to ordering and may even give you tips to make your own barbecue at home. We will absolutely be coming back!
