I tried the Stromboli today, which is a local favorite for a reason. Unlike most places where the fillings just crumble out, this one is built right. The edges are incredibly crispy (almost like a well-done pizza crust), which keeps everything tucked inside. It’s packed with cheese and has a great hit of garlic and parmesan. I would have loved a touch more sauce, but the flavor was spot on.
For $18, the “small” was roughly the size of a pizza box, definitely worth the price. The service is always friendly and comes with a smile. It’s a bar, so the lighting is a bit dark inside, but there’s plenty of seating and a great local atmosphere. A “go to”.
The owners really do care about their customers! They are really nice and will have a genuine conversation with you.
Price per person: …
2. Stale generic chips. Couldn’t even chew them.
3. Tons of lettuce tomatoes etc but barely any pulled pork on them at all.
4. Asked for the bbq sauce not to be put on the nachos, and the were smothered in the sauce instead.
5. Ice cold. Sitting at the end of the bar when I got there and not under a warmer.
I will be calling to talk to the manager today about the overcharge and how 98% of it had to be thrown away it was so un edible.
