We were in Taos for a trip and were told about Bodega from a local artist. We weren’t incredibly hungry but thought to stop by. I am SO HAPPY we did. We ordered the Bronx sandwich & chicken/waffles special. My only regret is not eating it there so I could tell the owner (Dorthy) how AMAZING the food is. We are from the southeast and it felt like comfort food with the seasoning pallet.

Found this place by happenstance today and all I can say is that it must have been fate because it was an all around fabulous experience. My mom and I ended up both getting the sweet toast which was, no exaggeration, one of the best things I have ever eaten. We also brought home some of the kimchi which miraculously made it home and was not just eaten in the car with my hands. The food was great, and the vibe was even better. Between the indie artist offerings, the super fun, funky, and fresh pantry items, and the generally welcoming queer vibe, this is a place that makes me wish I lived in Taos to visit more often.

Many of my coworkers and I place a big order the morning we wanted it on a whim. The folks at Bodega were amazing. The food was awesome with NO complaints. The crew was accurate, helpful and generous. While I waited I took the time to look around the wares they carry and found some gems. The little shop is the best in Taos, a must visit. Thank you for your attention to detail and making your customers happy!

Loooove these guys and their ever evolving food projects. There is so much care and passion in what they do and you can TASTE it in the food. Delicious. Must stop. The Bronx sandwich was mouthwatering and delectable, as were the cheesey grits my mom and i shared. Really cool vibe with hand selected goods from all over the world. Whether you’re looking for ingredients to jazz up a meal or you want something incredibly tasty, this place is so worth a stop!!

Local food with global flavors prepared with love

Their menu changes with the seasons to incorporate what’s fresh and what’s locally available and they stock yummy goodies from all over the world. This is truly a bodega done Taos style and it is so good!! Can absolutely taste the thoughtfulness, culinary skill, and love that goes into every creation.

The space is also super inviting and full of local arts and crafts.

Definitely a highlight in the area

Best tofu sandwich ever! And the biggest. This will be my weekly treat as I pass on the way to work. They have some wonderful exotic groceries too. Thanks!

This is the spot for Ramen. They also do homemade kimchi. I highly recommend stopping by and checking out the menu and the store.

He – ordered the “everyday people” sandwich.
She – ordered the “Bronx” sandwich.

Both were very tasty and the bread tasted just as good as any NYC deli. And the au just sauce wax ON POINT! I could just order a cup of that stuff as soup. The texture and mixture of flavors were incredible. Can’t wait to go back later this week and try more.

Oh yeah, and neat little market with sauces, ramen, and other international eats you can take home and use/prepare.

This is the best cuban sandwich I’ve had in years!! I still work on the East Coast, and this sandwich beats out the Cubans I’ve had in New Jersey and Philly.
The pork is cooked perfectly, there’s enough pickle that you get some in every bite, and wow, is the bread good!!!!

My wife had the Little Italy. I love that one, too. Same amazing bread, the house-made tapenade is superb, and every bite is delicious.

We chatted with the proprietor for ten minutes or so, and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the shop. Give Godega a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Such a dope and unique unexpected experience in the middle of this quaint town. Easily accessible as it’s on the main road and the proprietors were accommodating, kind, and pleasant. The bacon egg & cheese was DIVINE and dripping with love! Can’t wait to return upon visiting Taos again!
