With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

I had to venture up this way for a meeting and stopped in. Great service and atmosphere. I had two and half cups of really good brew of the day. Would come here again. Top shelf.

We stopped by for the first time today and had a great experience. We walked up to the window and the person who helped us (wish I would have gotten her name) was so helpful and gave us drink suggestions which were amazing. She was so kind and offered our son a sticker for his upcoming birthday. We saw a TikTok video about giving out small Jesus figurines which was what drew us to visit. Although it’s across town for us we will definitely be back!

Stopped by Human Bean and had a pretty good experience overall. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit enjoyable. They had a lot of drink options to choose from, which was great, and the prices were definitely reasonable. I tried the iced tea—it was just okay, not my favorite, but everything else made up for it. I’d come back to try something different next time!

I send my mom up to get my coffee every single day. The new girl with purple pigtails refuses to give her a new bag every 7 days once our bag is used. She told my mom that she needs to buy her own bags. That she’s asked for “too many” bags. We reuse one bag for 7 days and then get a new bag so the coffee doesn’t spill all over the car. The pigtails girl is new…. We just won’t go back until she’s gone because I’m not going to have some girl with purple hair confronting my elderly mother over a paper bag, as though she pays for the bags.
And when I use doordash, the dashers tell me the baristas make them wait for 30-40 minutes even though no one is in line.

First of all, I grew up with this chain in northern Colorado during my teen years (so since about 2012). I was so ecstatic when I heard they were finally coming to Abq little over a year ago now. Snow Capped Rocky was my fave drink (I got it as hot chocolate, coffee, frozen coffee, lattes, etc), here it’s called Snowy Mocha which is white mocha and then I’ve been adding lavender to it.
Second, the customer service at this store is amazing. I haven’t visited the other locations yet, so can’t speak about them. But this location has gone above and beyond for me before. I order on DoorDash because I’m usually stuck at my office and they’re too far for me to run to real quick. I had an order not get delivered back around Xmas last year, so I called up the store to inform them I was going to reorder so they’re gonna see my order come in again and I told them what happened. They were understanding and said they’ll get right on it before I had even actually placed the order. Then a little later they actually called me back and asked for the Dasher name that didn’t deliver my order, the manager wanted to put them on a blacklist I guess, but I appreciated that they called me back to get the info about the driver. My order got to me the 2nd time by a different driver thanks to them. They also always write cute little messages in the lids which is a small thing but very cute and makes my day. I’m a customer at a few of the other popular coffee chains (SB & DB) but Human Bean has my heart, truly. Keep it up you guys!!! ☕️

The staff at this location is beyond fantastic. We stopped in for a treat for my son’s birthday and the person taking the orders in the drive though got everyone on shift to write him a birthday card by the time we got to the window. Made his day! Plus, best cold brew in town.

I didn’t know Albuquerque had Human bean and was excited to be able to pick up an iced coffee for my long road trip to Utah. I absolutely love the Mexi Mocha and the chocolate covered espresso beans are absolutely heavenly.
