The experience is authentic, margaritas are insane, and the food… just wow!
We tried everything and just can’t decide what I like best. Maybe enchiladas…
Oh, and also, the service was great! And one waiter, Fabian, does this thing: when you ask him to take a photo of the whole gang at the table, he also takes a selfie – Fabian selfie 🙂
Definetly come back here
The birria tacos were excellent and so was the appetizer we ordered.
Hopefully the next time we come the kitchen won’t fail us. Our server was very apologetic and definitely was not her fault.
Their cocktails are so far the best I have tried in Windsor.
Sorry I didn’t had time to tale more pics are got busy enjoying the time there.
Unfortunately we found the service to be slow. We were told that our order was delayed due to someone else’s large take-out order. This strikes me as an inversion of the proper order. Dine-in lunch customers don’t have the option of wasting time.
Like at a few other Canadian restaurants, there is a charge for chips and salsa. They are good, but I don’t buy chips and salsa. Neither should you.
The street tacos al pastor were packed full, which is great. But they were flavourless, which is quite a perplexing achievement in Mexican.
The beans and rice sides were both pretty good though.
I really wanted to like this place, because it looks fantastic and I love both Mexican and Tex-Mex food.
The drinks were amazing, especially the flaming mai Thai was an impressive table side show.
We shared a platter of chips with 3 salsas, guacamole, queso and their mild salsa. Omg, when I say, the guacamole and their house salsa was the best we ever had. You can taste the freshness. For our main, I did their chimichanga with beef tongue ( yes beef tongue) was so delicious and tender, the beef melted in my mouth. My husband had their birria tacos, my cousin had their burrito meal with chorizo and his husband had the birria pizza. Had a taste of the birria pizza, reminded me of a quesadilla but dipped in the birria broth. So yummy. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Even made a little space for dessert with their churros which were crispy outside and fluffy inside. My husband had one of their February specials which was a cheesecake served on a chocolate crust and strawberry sauce. He loved it. Erica then offered a birthday churro for my husband also which he enjoyed also. Excellent dinning experience and definitely will be back. As for the cost, very very reasonable. For the 4 of us with all the above tax included was $223. The portion were more than enough, I took my half of chimichanga home. The only complaint which is not really was the wait time half way through became a bit long but Erica was very busy and she was very apologetic each time when things took longer. The restaurant at that point was quite busy and she was running table to table. Thank you El Pastor for a great dinning experience and looking forward to our next visit. Thank to Erica for her hospitality and service!
Worse, after leaving a generous tip, our server, Savannah, spoke rudely to my ten-year-old daughter. Completely inappropriate. My daughter calmly told her, “Have some respect, or we’ll never return.”
