Lived here for years and finally went to Tony’s Cafe. Fantastic! Sat outside in their little flower shrub paradise on a beautiful sunny day! Food was great…Popeye’s Benedict and an Old Fashioned breakfast with a toasted pecan roll! All yummy! Amy, our server, was perfect with her friendly smile taking care of us from start to finish. We will be back! Can’t believe it took us this long!

We came in with a party of about 10 and had a reservation. We were seated immediately and had wonderful service. The menu is abundant with plenty of breakfast and lunch selections available. Food came quickly and was hot and delicious. We will definitely be back and hope to sit on the cute patio!

This place was decent for brunch. The food was okay, nothing special but not bad. The service was alright, our server wasn’t super attentive but they weren’t rude either. The atmosphere was pretty average, it wasn’t anything fancy but it wasn’t a dive either. Overall, it was a pretty average experience. I’d go back if I was in the area and craving brunch, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

The prices and generous portions of food at Tony’s is wonderful in comparison to other area restaurants. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. (We have favorites– Laura and Manny) We also like the attention Bobbie (one of the owners) pays to everyone who comes through the door. The Christmas decorations were fantastic and the blackboard above the counter/kitchen area is always gorgeously illustrated… And being a retired teacher, I love the reading library of free books on the waiting area and entry way shelves, We go to Tony’s for breakfast and lunch and have established it as a meeting place for several of our friends.The patio and garden is a great place to eat in the summer and fall.

Played hooky from work and school yesterday and started out with breakfast at Tony’s Cafe and it couldn’t have started out any better. They really go all out on Christmas decorations! Such a cozy and delightful vibe, you feel as if your in the north pole!! Food and service was amazing and all thanks to our server Amy!! I highly recommend checking this place out! They even gave us a toy for each of my children, we will definitely be coming back very soon!!

This is honestly my favorite diner in Crystal Lake! The food is consistently great. The soups are a must-try (especially the cream of jalapeno! It has bacon and corn!). I had a California burger and it was picture-perfect and delicious. They have the battered-type fries so good!

John the owner makes some amazing food and the service is great. Started with the cream of chicken rice soup, I had the Reuben, and my wife had the chicken salad sandwich everything was fantastic. Indoor or outdoor seating available, I highly recommend checking out Tony’s Cafe

BEST brunch spot in all of Mchenry County hands down! Service is always great, awesome staff & the food is of course all delicious. My top two recommendations are their Mushroom & Swiss burger and their Stuffed Potato Pancake (so-soo good i had to include a picture of all the deliciousness in between the two potato pancakes)

Went for the 1st time for breakfast and the atmosphere is so cute quaint. Felt like a small town gem with books to read while eating and a friendly attentive staff. The sausage gravy is phenomenal. Will definitely be back

We Had breakfast on a Saturday morning. The place was mostly full but there was no wait for a table. The service and atmosphere was great.
I had the Tamales and Huevos (scrambled) with pancakes. The fresh made salsa verde and pico de gallo were outstanding. The Wifey had Waffles and Ice Cream with everything on the side. All very fresh and delivered exactly the way she requested. We both had coffee.
One of the entrees was the Sarkis Special, which brought back fond memories of eating at this outstanding double-wide trailer diner on the border of Evanston and wilmette. I almost ordered it but the breakfast tamales were too tempting. They had other tempting ideas for breakfast too, like the stuffed potato pancake. Maybe next time?
The food was delicious, the waitress was great. Our coffee cups never got close to empty.
