Many pluses here. The salsa was very good. I like more cilantro and spice but a lot of people do not. There was a very good amount and they readily offered more. The chips were served hot and delicious. The fajitas were great. It only came with two tortillas. I would have thought at least three would have been appropriate for this dish. Service was fast and friendly.

We walked in and were seated immediately around 1:30 PM. We were greeted with fresh chips and salsa, our drinks came out quickly, and after placing our order, our food was out in less than 15 minutes.
Now let me talk about that first bite. The chicken was so tender, the steak was just as tender, and everything was seasoned just right. My husband and I literally looked at each other after the first bite like, “Yeah… this is it.” Whoever was in the kitchen yesterday, please keep them there. And if they were only working that day, everybody else needs to follow their lead, because if this is how the food is cooked every time, this place will be unstoppable.
Everything was juicy and full of flavor. I usually run into dry chicken at restaurants, but not here. This was hands down the best it’s ever been since I’ve been coming. Y’all were already good, but this right here took it over the top. We’ll definitely be back.

My wife and I stopped here traveling through Dyersburg and were sadly disappointed. The greeting man spent his time finishing texting on his phone for about two minutes before even addressing us.
My wife got taco salad and asked for salsa topping for the salad, then our rude waitress proceeded to correct my wife on the pronunciation of “Jarritos” and told her that the salsa was for chips only (despite being offered with the free refills of chips and salsa?).
We then proceeded to just use our table salsa, which no refills were ever offered/brought and eat a tenth of our sour cream smothered, bland tasting meals then left.
The margarita was watered down and tasted like 3/4ths water and 1/4th gatorade.
We will not be returning here.

Stopped here for the night and this cute restaurant was within walking distance. What an awesome experience, lucky for me. Inside soft lights and brick accents. The menu is so full of yummy Mexican dishes, it made it too hard to choose. The chips were light and the salsa was mild, perfect! Seated and served pretty quick, everyone was super nice. I want to come back

They have remodeled. It looks great inside. The food is hot and very yummy. The service is fast and consistent. I do recommend this restaurant. It’s great for 2 people or for groups.

Not bad at all, not the best location, either. The service was excellent but honestly the Fajitas Texacanos left the palate a little unsatisfied, the bacon was good but the chicken was super dry and stringy and there were more onions than anything with the veggies.

Some of the best Mexican food we’ve had, and we’re originally from Texas! The guacamole is excellent-order a large!
The fajita chicken nachos we’re enough for 2 people, and they were excellent. The chicken was perfect and seasoned so well. Order a side of sour cream, and be sure and ask for pickled jalapeños on them!

This restaurant is a hidden delight. Clean and organized with a great staff, Los Portales was enjoyable. The food was very good and tasty. The menu has an incredible selection from which to experiment. Our waiter was one of the best that we have experienced.
