Very friendly staff. Restaurant was clean with a fun British vibe. Food came out quickly. I’m going to review from 2 angles. British family – Comparing to authentic fish and chips from England – not that great. Curry sauce was not right, fish seems that was frozen. As an American I thought it was pretty good.

Overall, I think it is worth trying and seeing for yourself.

I fancy myself a fish and chips connoisseur, and this place is incredible. My wife and I go to the UK for a couple of weeks every year to visit friends, and I inevitably eat fish and chips 10 times or so. This rivals any of the best I’ve ever had. I live in Acworth, so my only complaint is that it’s not closer! Awesome spot, and they have great beer.

I visited Washington Wharf, which recently replaced a British fish and chips spot I had eaten at twice and really loved. Having had authentic English fish and chips before, that former place was the closest I had found to the real thing. Unfortunately, it closed, and Washington Wharf has since taken its place.

The fish here is good and fairly close to what I was hoping for, but the chips were definitely more Americanized—not quite the traditional style. When I mentioned it, even the server agreed. We also ordered a glass of white wine, which came in a regular tumbler—about 4–5 oz—for $7. That felt overpriced and took away from the experience.

Overall, the food is good, but there’s room for improvement. If Washington Wharf could upgrade their chips to a more authentic style and serve wine in proper portions and glasses, it would make a big difference.

Better than Wrights(previous place) as their tartar sauce is better flavor and consistency and their fries & ‘chips’ are both great too. The star of the show is the Fish of course though- Excellent! Crispy, large portion and cooked to perfection. The kids got chicken tenders, which are huge! I like that they added a bar area and oh, the seats at the tables are comfortable. This place just looks & feels more welcoming and better than the other place. Plus they were playing 80s hits but the music wasn’t too loud.

Their fish and chips were excellent. We read their review and visited an a very busy day but the manager and the server Chloe did a great job managing the crowd. They have a nice bar too.

Just tried it for the first time as take out, and was so impressed. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the chips from the other photos, but they were delicious! The fried fish was pretty good, I do feel like the batter could have more flavor or spices maybe! The beer cheese and pretzel was my favorite part, might’ve been the best pretzel I’ve ever had, soft, chewy, and a nice slightly crispy outer! Would recommend! Support local!

Lovely little spot! Great music playing and the fish was melt in your mouth amazing. The pretzel was also wonderful! The blonde woman working the front was so jovial and sweet. Her personality was a fresh breath of air. We will definitely be returning!

Went to the Soft Opening of Washington’s Wharf today. If you ate here when it was Wright’s and you loved their fish and chips, then you will be pleased to know it tastes the same! Personally I love the fish and chips and the tartar sauce. I liked both styles of fries, the American style being crispier with more seasoning and the British style having a softer, more potato-y density. The chicken “cutlets” aka chicken tenders had a great texture to the breading. While I prefer more seasoning, they were juicy and tasted great with the house-made honey mustard.

I am looking forward to the full menu and the opening of the bar. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the owners are very friendly.

I was so looking forward to trying out this new place. The best description for my review is underwhelming. The fish and shrimp were okay but nothing spectacular. Not the light and flaky fish I have had elsewhere. For the price ($2 per shrimp) You get plenty of chips (fries) but not a whole lot of fish or shrimp. The value for the price was simply not there in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and the service was great, I just wish the product matched.

Saw this on CDeatsAtlanta TikTok and had to try it since it claimed best in Georgia. IT WAS so good. The flavor was great the service was amazing. They were right, it was most like English chips I’ve had since leaving. So good. Best in the Atlanta area in my opinion.
