An absolute nightmare of an experience. We visited yesterday around 7:00 PM. The restaurant was busy, so the floor manager took our name and phone number, promising to call us in 20 minutes when a table was ready. We went for a walk around the square, but the call never came. When we returned 20 minutes later, he told us it would be ‘just 10 more minutes.’ We ended up waiting another 50 to 60 minutes!
What was truly unacceptable was watching the floor manager bypass the waitlist. He was giving tables to people who arrived after us just because they were being aggressive and loud. If you wait patiently, you are completely ignored. When I confronted him about seating people out of turn, he just blamed ‘the rush’ and completely refused to accept his mistake.
When we finally got a table, the service and food were a disaster. First, they served us someone else’s order. When our actual food finally arrived, the quality was terrible and far below expectations. On top of this, the restaurant was incredibly noisy, and the cleanliness was highly questionable.
I recently read that the Saravanaa Bhavan in Brussels was shut down by the government due to hygiene issues, and judging by the state of this place, the Antwerp branch is heading in the exact same direction. Terrible management, bad food, and unfair treatment. Save your time and money—do not go here!

I had lunch there with my husband and my toddler-age daughter and we were very pleased with our experience.
The food was very delicious and authentic as it should be in the restaurant of this chain.
The atmosphere was nice. Busy but not disturbing at all.
I was pleasantly surprised by the level service. Everyone we talked was friendly and polite. Our drinks and food came very fast, despite the place being completely full. Very good experience.
Will come back soon.

Finally Sarvanaa Bhavan is in Antwerp. I visited it with some of my friends and the food was amazing. Despite being super packed on the weekend, the food arrived well within time. Although the staff is new and trying to figure out, they were on their feet, trying to do their best. Kudos to the team!

Finally, an authentic South Indian restaurant has come up in Antwerp to give the old Aahar restaurant with rude female waiter and Om Restaurant that serves Palm oil laced food, a run for their money.
Saravanan Bhavan’s prices are surprisingly very reasonable as compared to it’s contemporaries like Aahar and Om Restaurants.

The waiters are pleasant, humble and possess customer centric attitude. They are doing their best to serve the new customers. We loved the decent array of vegetarian food that are priced very reasonable and is light on the pockets. Finally a true vegetarian restaurant right in the heart of the city has come to the rescue of several Indian foodies.
For a family of 4 members that ordered around 8 items from the menu, the bill amount was about €72, which is extremely competitive

Super nice environment, very beautiful. The super attentive and patient attendants explained to me in detail all the dishes I asked. The food was delicious and seasoned just right. I will certainly go back there more often and full of hunger.
