We ate here on a whim and it didn’t disappoint. The food was superbly flavorful and I could tell the chef made food that they would want to eat themself. Almost everything that can be made in-house was made in-house and that really made a difference. Service was very friendly and good although I would have liked it if they checked for drink refills after the food was brought. I normally wouldn’t care about this, but it is a pricier restaurant and I would gladly tip more for that kind of service. Nevertheless, I would say this restaurant is on my top 5 around town. I would definitely come back.

The pasta was delicious from the sauce to the shrimp! Although the serving size was a bit small. I order another pasta dish after the first. The bread that was served as an appetizer was so incredibly soft and tasty. The outside seating has an incredible view worth going for alone. Service was decent. I had to get up a few times to ask for things, but other than that, it was good.

This restaurant was one of our food tour spots and we like the food so much, we came back. It was a Valentine’s Day and Friday so was super busy but we arrived 5 ish and didn’t have to wait for our food nor drinks for long. Very friendly and efficient service and the food was all so very delicious. Highly recommended ❤️

I had the grilled salmon fillet. I would highly recommend it. It was the best salmon I’ve ever had. The maracuyà and goat cheese sauce was amazing. It also had the maracuyà seeds to add texture and crunch to the dish. My esposa had the spaghetti with pulpo which was very good but it didn’t compare to the salmon.

The atmosphere was fine and the service adequate, but we went for the food and it was bad. The spaghetti was cold. The Bruschetta was both cold and the portion small. The prices were high, given what we received.

One of the best Italian Restaurants I have visited. Fresh hand made pasta, amazing flavors. Chef Alessandro is a super host super friendly makes you feel at home.
Pasta with mussels, shrimps, cherry tomato and rum is exquisite, a must. Carpaccio de res with arugula also a must. Brusquetta delicious too. For desert an almond chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was perfect.
Variety of italian wines, salads, salmon.
Live music which makes the atmosphere cozy.
Trattoria Italiana is a must if you visit San Cristobal de las casas.

Went to trattoria Italian this evening expecting a nice quiet dinner. We were 45 minutes before closing and asked if they still had service for 2 to avoid a bad service experience. They assured us it would be good so we decided quickly and ordered. We received our bruschetta appetizer in around 30 minutes but the two pasta dishes took over an hour. The carbonara was average…at least the sauce wasn’t broken. But served 15 minutes before my partners penne pasta. The plates have no garnish, no fresh parmesan.
The worst was there was a guy singing and you couldn’t even have a conversation over the noise. Then he comes around expecting money and when I did not choose to pay since I didn’t enjoy his display he responded with negative comments.
Since the food took so long, we ended up sitting and eating while they stacked the patio furniture around us. In all a total disappointment.
