I ordered the chilaquiles, which were very good and very generous in portion size. My only wish is that they had a little more heat, the salsa tasted more like mashed tomatillos than a spicy kick. Still, filling and satisfying.
My husband ordered the avocado toast, which unfortunately was a bit disappointing. The avocado was lightly spread and didn’t taste very fresh. It came with two sausage patties that were reminiscent of Jimmy Dean frozen sausage, not quite what you expect at a place like this.
Coffee-wise, my decaf was excellent: hot, fresh, with creamer on the side and plenty of sugar options. My husband’s latte came out cold (very cold), but to their credit, when he politely asked for a remake, the server was incredibly friendly and quickly brought a new one that was perfect.
Where Box Street really shines is the atmosphere. It’s chic, stylish, and very aesthetic, perfect for a girls’ brunch or a casual but elevated meetup.
Overall: 3 stars for the food, 5 stars for service and ambiance, averaging out to a solid 4 stars. Would come back for the vibe and coffee, and hopeful the food continues to improve.
Burger: I had the fix street burger. Overall the burger was okay. It was juicy, but was missing flavor slightly. The buns were great, but overall burger felt slightly plain. Meat was cooked perfectly medium as I requested. I would rate the burger 6/10.
Strawberry French Toast: this was very tasty. Added syrup ontop and overall a very good brunch option. It also was plated very nicely! This was 8/10
Pork Tacos: came with 3 pork tacos. The flavor on these were great, and tasted fresh! Thud was a 9/10
Maroccan Spiced Fries: perfectly crispy and spiced. Happy hour time these were only $3. The dipping sauce was also delicious, this was a 9/10.
Overall great experience, I would go back!
The wings were a win for me. Great flavor and the ranch dressing was so good I almost asked for a to-go cup . The burrito wasn’t bad at all, but if I come back I’d probably try something different.
Now the donuts… they were hot and fluffy, but the glaze reminded me a little of a hot pretzel situation . Not terrible, just a bit too thick for my taste. Still, fresh and warm is always a plus
My only real “huh?” moment was the bacon situation. Not including bacon in most of the breakfast or brunch entrées feels a little wild, especially when it’s six dollars for two strips . That math had me blinking real fast.
Overall, cute place with great vibes. I’d come back to explore the menu and definitely to take more pics
For drinks, I had the Thyme Capsule and my friend had the Pearadigm Shift. Both were equally delicious, so we ended up having two each. Finding out we could get them to go was the cherry on top.
Tamara’s service was top notch. She was friendly, helpful, and really knew the menu. We highly suggest asking for Tamara’s section and will definitely be doing the same during our next visit.
Service: B
Tea: A+
Solo dining: B
This brunch restaurant has an eclectic menu in its light pink atmosphere. I got the think boi pancake and it was good but not my favorite creation (and I love pancakes). It’s more like a pan of cornbread than a pancake. The flavor is unique but not overly sweet. The syrup is delicious. The bacon is floppy which is not my preference. The tea, though, is strong and wonderful. Next time I’ll get a different entree. Definitely a brunch worth trying and i look forward to going again!
The menu is a combination of Mexican dishes with some more international food. I have to mention that I didn’t care a lot for the type of presentation of the menu itself. They picked a font that is too extended on the lines. It seems that they wanted to fill up the page extending the text.
The meals were flavorful and well seasoned. I ordered a burrito that required the tortilla be crunchy and well done. They served exactly what I asked for. The coffee was deliciously served with a sweet cream. . My friends ordered breakfast sandwiches and they were happy with their choice. We were very pleased with the service. Our server was attentive, courteous and friendly.
We will definitely get back to try out other items in the menu.
I ordered the cheeseburger with bacon and i ate the whole thing. The fries were crispy the way i like them!
The wife ordered herself the breakfast platter and that was delicious. Were definitely coming back.
**RESTROOMS WERE REALLY CLEAN!**
