The burger was okay — it had good flavour, though the bun was a bit dry. Overall, an OK visit, and I’d be happy to return to try the dinner menu, but not rushing back.
For our mains we ordered 2 le-foote burgers and 1 spatchcock. The burgers were the most wholesome feet experience manifested into the cuisine! The dynamic flavours of the onions, pickles, patty, bread and more, created the perfect feeticious orchestra in my mouth. Additionally, the spatchcock was moist and perfectly cooked, I felt like Anton Ego in Ratatouille getting his childhood flashback as I took the first bite. We also ordered chips but they were pretty basic ngl.
The environment was incredible and allowed us to fully immersed ourselves in some intellectual discussions about feet, and humanitiy’s connection to the earth through feet and food. The waiters were so kind and let us express our love for feet. They were very attentive and even though I accidentally said Baka to one of the waiters, he didn’t mind and happily gave us the check. The female waiter we had also entertained us with our love of feet. However we did see the lack of feet decor disheartening, there was a lot of emphasis on faces and vases, but the only feet decoration we saw was unfortunately the logo. We felt it tingle.
To top if off, my mate and I had a Gin & Tonic and it was the perfect compliment to finish off a plates and undercover feet-time. We also got served some nice still water to moisten up. We also were given free coasters as a nice feet-ful gift from the restaurant. Thanks!
I recommend to set a reservation to get the best seats in the house for a private feet session.
Without a doubt this is the BEST feet restaurant in Sydney! The food is worth the price if you love feet.
Paul our French waiter was very knowledgeable when discussing the menu and helped us with a fabulous wine choice. The restaurant seemed busy to me but Paul was relaxed and looked to be enjoying his job and was passionate about his guests having a great experience. Some, staff seemed a bit rushed and harried.
The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I found the music to be a little loud in such a small area. I occasionally found intrusive.
Le Foote completely exceeded our expectations, the atmosphere is warm and vibrant, the service is attentive without being overbearing, and the food is absolutely incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. You can really tell how much care goes into everything here. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed yet refined meal! We’ll definitely be back!
It was my partner’s birthday and we’d been looking forward to dining at Le Foote for more than a year but don’t get to go out to restaurants often due to working evenings. On arrival we had oysters and champagne which were both delicious to be honest. But after that our water glasses were empty for ten minutes with no service and no clear waiter. We ordered the beef tartare and escargot – escargot being delicious but the beef tartare being one of the worst I have eaten ever. Grey meat and terrible presentation. Unbalanced flavour only being able to taste the vinegar.
When deciding on our mains, we asked for the market price of the Lobster which the runner didn’t know – maybe she was new or wasn’t briefed? But on her return she responded ‘Jervis Bay’ and when she came back again with the price we were told $167 for a whole lobster. Finally, the manager returned telling us the price was $165 for a half but this took 3 different interactions to find out.
We assumed all of this difficulty was due to a busy day or lack of staff but the manager told us it was a very quiet Sunday and there were plenty of staff on, just no one seemed to know what they were doing!
We ended up leaving and headed elsewhere.
I generally do not write bad reviews, especially for restaurants but this was disappointing, especially with premium dining prices.
But the other waiters didn’t really attend to the table at all. Plates weren’t cleared for a long time, the drinks order was wrong and mains took an hour to come. If you decide to take the bottle of wine we ordered away from the table, you should make sure you top up the drinks when needed. We had to ask twice.
To charge a compulsory gratuity of 10% for groups of 6 meant we paid over $80 for a service that was unacceptable.
The steak tartare was probably the worst we have had in Sydney and did not look anything like the ones the other dinners posted or the their photo on Instagram. Just look at the photo!! The meat looked very pale wand way over cooked from the acid to the point the meat was very sour and there was no egg yolk on top.
The Sirloin steak, however was cooked perfectly as were the prawns. The sides were small and the French fries were a tiny bowl of chips no larger than large fries from McDonalds at $15. The creme brûlée was actually salty. We ordered 5 of them no one enjoyed it.
There was also a massive cockroach on the wall that accompanied our dinner.
For this price point, none of these things should happen and we would not be returning.
