It was Valentine’s night, so we made a reservation ahead of time. We expected a wait because it was busy, but we did not expect our reservation to mean nothing. When I checked in, I asked the host if our reservation would be honored. She told me they were backed up and said she would put our name on the waitlist.
We were quoted about an hour. At the same time, the restaurant was taking walk-ins and adding them to the same list. We watched groups come in without reservations and get added just like us. There was no clear priority for guests who booked in advance. If reservations don’t actually hold your place, what’s the point of making one?
Once we were seated, the service at our table barely existed. Servers repeatedly passed us without stopping. We ordered drinks and never received them until we asked again about 15 minutes later. In the first 30 minutes, only two servers came by with meat options; over the span of an hour, it increased to three total. That’s not how churrascaria service is supposed to work.
We finally told the hostess, and suddenly they sent 2–3 more people over—but the options we were offered were extremely limited (cheese with honey, picanha, and chicken legs). We didn’t get to see the full rotation of cuts, and it felt like we were getting the scraps of what was left rather than the experience you’re paying for.
The food didn’t make up for any of it. The meats we did get were overcooked and dry, lacking flavor and moisture. I’ve had better quality at Fogo and Galpão. At this price point, you expect proper timing, better execution, and consistent tableside service. The staff overall looked lost. The manager didn’t step in to control the flow or communicate clearly. The dining room felt disorganized and tense, and the whole night felt poorly managed. I honestly regret not keeping my Chubby Cattle reservation or choosing another spot. Valentine’s dinner should feel special—this felt stressful and poorly run. I feel bad for the workers, but it also felt like a waste of time for customers. Also: $10 for a Brazilian lemonade is wild, especially given everything else.
The service truly made the night special. Huge shoutout to Marcelo and Ricardo — both were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. They constantly checked in, explained the different cuts with passion, and made sure our table was always taken care of without ever being intrusive. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
The atmosphere was warm, lively, and perfect for a great night out, whether with friends or family. Everything felt well-organized and high quality from start to finish.
If you’re looking for incredible food, excellent service, and an unforgettable dining experience, this place delivers on all fronts. I’ll definitely be back — and I hope Marcelo and Ricardo are working again next time!
