ROCCO’S: A Legacy of Family, Tradition, and Fine Italian Dining.
For us, business and family go hand in hand. When creating our restaurant, we knew we wanted it to be more than just a place to eat- we wanted it to be a tribute to the generations before us who built a life rooted in hard work, love, and tradition.
Now, we are honored to follow in their footsteps, carrying forward the old-school recipes, traditions, and values that have been passed down through generations. This restaurant is more than a business- it’s our family’s legacy, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you.
Rooted in Legacy, Served with Excellence.

We celebrated my birthday / Galentine’s here and it was all of our first times at Rocco’s Ristorante. We absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff was so welcoming, kind, and genuinely accommodating.
The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. It truly feels like you’re at someone’s house, warm, inviting, and comfortable in the best way. Everything about the experience felt personal and thoughtful, which made the night even more memorable.
Such a great vibe, amazing hospitality, and the perfect spot for a special dinner. We will definitely be back!
Thanks!!

Our new favorite! Rocco’s is truly a hidden gem in the north side of the city. Chicken limone is excellent, breading is well seasoned and sauce compliments perfectly. Top tier ambience, service, all around wonderful experiences both times I’ve been here. LOVE the lounge after for a glass of wine. Really excited about this new Italian spot in the city!

Warm welcoming atmosphere that feels like you’re getting a home cooked meal. The bread service and bean appetizer were my favorite part of the meal. The chicken Parmesan was good but I wasn’t a big fan of the sauce, I found it to be a bit too acidic and lacking flavor. The ambience of the historical home really adds character, however the lighting and high top tables where we were seated next to the bar killed the vibe a bit. I would return for drinks and appetizers, I recommend sitting in the “living room” area for a cozy experience.

A fantastic place for some quality food. The atmosphere cannot be spoken about enough. From the chandeliers and wallpaper to the wood working and even door knobs, this place has some amazing details. The food was sublime. Starting with the arancini, Definitely different from just cheese and rice, I loved the seasoning and little bit of spice that came through. Jenna had the tuscan pork chop, i want to SHOUT from the rooftops about the polenta that came with it, creamy and delicious, I wanted to get some more to go. I couldn’t tell you what the glaze was but also a star to the dish. I had veal scarpariello, the sausage and little peppers on top adorned the golden fried veal cutlet, I found myself scraping up the sauce it was so good. We finished with the cannolis, the little bit of citrus in the filling made them POP. I will Definitely be back again especially for the polenta and cannolis

I was recently visiting Pittsburgh for a family event and heard about Rocco’s. Let me tell you..I was by myself, so I sat at the bar with their amazing bartender Jaime. She had so many wonderful suggestions. From the filthy martini to start, to the the wine to the appetizer to entree and dessert. Of course I got all but their beans and greens by far are the best ive ever tasted in my life. I probably wouldn’t have ever ordered them without her recommendation, and now can’t stop thinking about them. The giant meatball pasta was fantastic and enough for leftovers. The cannoli was also delicious, I liked you got two varieties. Jaime was the perfect introduction to Rocco’s and I can’t wait to go back when I get back to town.

My wife and I had dinner at Rocco’s last evening. It was our first time there. Let me say that it was nothing short of fabulous! When it comes to my reviews, it’s first and foremost about the food!! We shared the house bread which was served with a white bean spread and herbed dipping oil. It was a perfect bread to accompany an Italian meal! We shared the beans and greens which were prepared with white beans that were soft but not mushy, a rich, creamy chicken stock broth and pieces of sausage with pieces of wilted endive which together made one of the best beans and greens dishes we ever ate! For entreés, I had the Rocco’s pasta and sauce which proved to be a star. The sauce was amazing and the pasta was homemade and cooked PERFECTLY – a “hint” of aldente!! The large mozzarella stuffed meatball on top was like the star on my Christmas tree. My wife got the filet which was amazing also. It too was perfectly prepared to a medium/medium rare. It literally melted in your mouth. It was WAY better than most ever eaten in Pittsburgh!! The pureed potatoes and wilted arugula with shaved Parmesan as accompaniments were delicious. And although we felt like we had overeaten, we shared a tiramisu for dessert…. which proved to be another wise choice. “I” am generally not a fan of tiramisu as I don’t care for “soggy” lady fingers. HOWEVER, this tiramisu was a nothing short of a perfect “twist” on traditional tiramisu. Served in a round, “cocktail” glass, the lady fingers were the consistency of a soft cookie.. wth layers of sweetened mascarpone and topped with whipped cream and coffee powder… dessert genius! AND our server Maia deserves a shout out. It was our pleasure to meet Rebecca (one of the owners). For those “reviewers” who complained about the “loudness” I will say that growing up Italian and being the
“Chef-in-Residence” in my family, I can’t remember one GREAT meal, shared with family and friends, that was shared in silence!!! We can’t wait to return!!! Thanks to all!!!

Everything about Rocco’s was wonderful. Very welcoming atmosphere and staff. Great selection of food and drinks – each dish was amazing! Perfect portions, great flavor, and great service. The patio is beautiful, and the rest of the building was lovely as well. Truly such a great place to dine at with a variety of seating, and I also had a chance to speak with the owners who are amazing as well!

*Seriously, if you want a superior dining experience, go have a meal at Rocco’s Ristorante.
*From the minute we arrived, our hostess was a beautiful young lady, smile on her face, well spoken, accommodating and with a kind, warm and welcoming demeanor.
*Our server, Ellie, was OUTSTANDING! Her recommendations were ideal, her eye contact, repeated presence at the table, and her extremely positive attitude and smile, made for an extremely pleasurable dinner experience.
*The manager, Brady, asked us about specifics in regard to dinner, our server, the atmosphere, and he was genuine and real, and NOT just asking as part of a script or because he had to.
*And the owners themselves, Eddie and Jessica, were cruising the floor and speaking on a very personal level with their customers in a dining room filled with laughter, lively conversation and the aromas of beautifully prepared meals with superb taste and presentation.
*We will go back to Rocco’s after this initial visit, as we kinda fell in love with this business.
*This staff was so dang good, they could be used as a prototype for how to run a restaurant properly, with love, and in a way that makes paying customers feel important and appreciated.
*The old school architecture of this building, likely from the late 1800s, and their decor, were an ideal compliment to the atmosphere that had me feel like it was Christmas somehow, because this whole business is a gift to Pittsburgh!
*Go! Enjoy! These people are the real deal.
PS – The Cannolis we took on the road WERE AMAZING!

Everything about our experience at Rocco’s Ristorante was amazing! The restaurant has a warm, authentic Italian aesthetic that makes you feel right at home. We started with bread & oil with a wonderfully recommended bottle of wine for the table, both were excellent! I chose the Veal Parmigiana for my meal, which was flavorful and cooked to perfection.
The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. We also loved checking out the cigar bar and outside area which are both such a unique features. Highly recommend!!!
