The food was delicious. It came out hot and very generous portions. I got the fried chicken and it was so good and cooked perfectly! My aunt got the salmon sandwich and she loved it. The service was great. The prices are very reasonable I’ll definitely be back.

The family style restaurant is very large and really loud. Waitstaff were friendly and helpful. The burger was good sized and the fries were very good. Crabcake was very good (the typical Hockers recipe) and came with large serving of tasty mashed potatoes. Very basic beer/wine list. Fun ice cream counter too!

Had Cheddar Burger (cooked medium) that came with lettuce, tomato and a spear of pickle.. Added sautéed onion, mayo and side of sweet potato tater tots. Also had mac-n-cheese. Burger perfectly done and BIG! Lots of cheese to cover the whole burger. Tots were tasty. Mac-n-cheese was a big portion and delish. Service was quick. It wasn’t crowded (day after Thanksgiving). Prices reasonable. Too full to visit the ice cream parlor. Definitely recommend!

My mom and I met here for a New Year’s Day lunch together and it was delicious as always. I’m a local but my mom isn’t and it was her first time coming here. We had the crab and corn chowder for an appetizer which was absolutely chock full of huge pieces of crab meat- and no shells! The broth was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned. For our meals I had the pulled pork sliders and she had the crab cake sandwich. My pork sliders were so delicious that my mom ordered some to-go to take home to my dad in Clayton! She absolutely loved her crab cake sandwich as well. The crab cake was full of real crab meat and not a ton of filler and peppers like most other restaurants. Our server was Kathy (Cathy?) and she was wonderful. She was so friendly and attentive, it felt like we were eating lunch at a friend’s house. Deanna at the front was so kind and friendly too! It was so nice to not only eat somewhere with such great quality food but where there are such friendly staff. My mom enjoyed the experience so much that she plans on bringing my disabled dad down to eat here sometime in the near future. Which is another thing, this restaurant is absolutely the place to bring people who are disabled or handicapped. The tables aren’t packed closely together, they’re actually fairly spread out and there are no stairs. People in wheelchairs, such as my dad, are able to maneuver through the restaurant without any problems. It is truly handicap friendly which seems to be rare for restaurants. I cannot wait for my meals here with my family!

Where to begin? Slowwwww service with confused servers. The ambiance….what ambiance? The most awkward eating environment I’ve ever been in. Don’t even ask about the food. Awful all around. Huge disappointment!

My family and I enjoyed our visit. Eating dinner in an old super market is interesting. The dining room is very large and the noise level is what you’d expect with little separation. Service and food were both good. The cost was reasonable. I would eat here again. If you are looking for a family restaurant in the Bethany/Ocean View area, check this place out.

My family and I had dinner at the restaurant last night, and we were beyond impressed. The newly renovated space looks absolutely amazing—welcoming, and beautifully done. The atmosphere added so much to the overall dining experience.
The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The crabcakes were exceptional—full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients.

Our party of 6 had such a great crab feast at Hockers! They give you everything you need – hammers, butter, vinegar, etc. The place is recently built and super clean. There are TVs at the bar if you want to catch a game.
We went on a busy Saturday and were seated quickly. The crabs were HOT with plenty of seasoning. The drinks were good and the beer was ice cold.
Dre was an attentive server and we would definitely request him again next time!
Icing on the cake – you can grab Hersheys icecream by the scoop on the way out!
