My experience at Cajun Cooks on Jonesboro was pretty basic overall. The food was okay, but nothing really stood out or wowed me. Service was decent and the staff was polite, but the overall experience felt average compared to other Cajun spots I’ve visited. The atmosphere was simple and casual, which is fine, but I was hoping for more flavor and excitement in both the food and the vibe. It’s an okay spot if you’re nearby and craving Cajun food, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

It’s frozen products fried well. Great price and quantity I didn’t like the onion rings or the okra, too much bread. You can tell that it was frozen and dropped in the grease. You can tell the fish is not fresh wild fish. We’re so used to frozen fillets without bones that we are not getting the real deal. I will say the flavors were pretty good on the wings and the fish. The hush puppies were dry and pre-frozen. I feel like the typical southern person of today’s times will find this place quick and accommodating with easy to eat fish, fried rice and chicken. We have an abundance of this in the hood. I had to drop a star because none of it was authentic, but very edible except for the sides I had.
Update. Reheated the snapper and it was still crispy and seasoned well. I feel like they do some things with good flavor here and an improvement on the onion rings and okra and perhaps getting some fresh fish.

A great location with excellent service. The restaurant is need and organized what a modern feel. They have specials with whole wings but I decided to get pieces. I got the 6 Wing spicy lemon pepper combo with fries and a drink. The wings were tender and fried well and the fries were seasoned. They also have seasoned salt and or Cajun seasoning to add to your fries. I really want to go back and try the fish next time. Great location too.

Food was old and re-cooked. That bag was tied so tight that by the time I got home over an hour away, the fish was dry and you could tell it was old and refried. I called to speak to someone at the number listed and the phone just rang with no answer.

I love to DoorDash this restaurant, it is by far my favorite fried fish ever. I get the fried red snapper with fried rice, and I really love the seasoning they put on the red snapper as it has a hint of lemon.

Welcome to Union city! … Food hot fresh and delicious! … Try the catfish! Homemade breading and homemade tartar sauce . Also had the Teriyaki Shrimp hibachi.They have great selections on the menu. Give them a try…I will definitely be back. Nice friendly customer service.
One year later 1/9/2026 and the food is great!!! Catfish was so fresh and tasty and don’t forget the tartar sauce!!!!! This time I had a side of shrimp fried rice !

The food here is delicious! I ordered the Cajun shrimp hibachi and I was very impressed with my meal. It had the right amount of spice.( I love spicy food) I’m excited now that I have a new food option to visit in union city. This will be the only place I get fried rice from.

Should be named Wings and Fish. Only thing Cajun are a few PoBoy sandwiches.
They don’t show you your order when you get it.
The cashier has an Asian accent and acts like the customer should understand what she is saying. It’s hard to understand her.
Just an average Wing and Fish place.
I paid an upcharge for chicken fried rice in place of fries. Since my order didn’t normally have fried rice, I couldn’t get YumYum sauce….and said it almost disrespectfully in front of 6 or so other customers at the counter. I’ve got a bottle at home…
Not impressed.
