I heard that Prime Steak House was opening soon in the Bonita area in a Facebook Chula Vista food group. My wife and I headed to their location on a late Friday afternoon. We decided to order a 12oz New York strip steak for me and Chicken Parmesan for my wife plus a couple of drinks. Our server was very friendly and attentive to our needs and our food came out more or less in the time you would expect anywhere else. My steak was perfect, juicy and flavorful just the way I like it while my wife chicken was tender and delicious as she describes it. Prices were fair in my opinion. One suggestion: Add desserts to the menu. We appreciate your outdoor dinning option. We will be back when in the area.

Delicious food and drinks! We got the alcoholic mango drinks and tried the Brussel sprouts and both were SOO GOOD! Service was super quick and our server, Tatiana, was extremely attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. She was also very kind! Definitely will be coming back again and have recommended others to visit this place as well! Food and prices are awesome!

Read the recent reviews and decided to give this place a try. It was on a Thursday evening around 530, so they were not busy. The place is kinda dark and there are gnats. I was surprised that they only have beer and wine. We ordered the Brussel sprouts and they tasted like vinegar. The potato skins were okay. The steaks were not cooked well. We ordered med rare, got one well done and the other one was rare. The waitress made a point to make sure mine was cooked correctly (which i appreciated), I perfer a rare to well done steak. We didn’t send it back because it already took almost an hour to get our food. Mac and cheese was a huge disappointment and got sent back. My kid didn’t even like it. I feel like this was a huge miss. I must say the service was good. She was very attentive, if only the food was better.

Had the mixed seafood pasta. Fish overcooked, calamari like rubber, shrimp overcooked, pasta extremely al dente and pink wine sauce had flavor but was pasty making the dish poor quality. Appetizers of fried Calamari and Zucchini were good. My wife’s prime rib was bland seemingly unseasoned. Her vegetables were barely blanched, basically raw.
They are trying to offer a premium restaurant and failing miserably.
It is a large restaurant and only had two customers, my two person party and another couple. The waitress was nice but seemingly rushed. The cook, not a chef in my mind, stood at the door to the kitchen staring at us for nearly a half hour. Don’t know what that was about!
Save your money and go to Black Angus or some other place. Service and quality are better there. A cheap dinner at Sizzler would have been better than this place.

The restaurant is in a great location but the parking is less than desirable.
The wait staff is very thin almost like they don’t have enough staff or too much business, neither which is true. We got waited in and the lady seemed nice enough but lacked a sense of urgency.
Now the food. The appetizer sampler was awesome. Loved everything on the platter.
I had the 8 ounce filet mignon cooked medium well. It was cooked on point but the meat cut was not up to par with the name “prime”. It had good, not great flavor, but was tougher than what a mignon should be. The clam chowder was too thin and lacked that creamy texture.
Overall this is an OK steakhouse,it’s local and the prices are bit steep for the flavor

My first dine-in experience was amazing. The service was great (thank you, Tatiana!), the wine recommendation was spot on and the medallions I had were cooked perfect medium. The sides were fresh and the lightly toasted starter bread was delicious. The ambiance is eh, but I came for the food and with that, along with the service and wine, I had to give a 5.

Waitress was adequate. Appetizers came out two minutes later salad came out and then she announced that our dinner would be right there. We said no you need to slow down please. She did and then for the next 30 minutes we watch the chef stare at us from the kitchen. Prime rib overcooked and definitely not my favorite husband’s pasta was just pasta nothing great. We ended up taking our meals home. We will probably try one more time just in case it was a bad night

Came in excited for a new steak house close to home. The waitress took our drink and food order promptly but it took a couple tries to get a coke, 3 asks to 3 different waitresses before we could get a refill. After about 30 minutes, the waitress came back to our table with menus and clearly was confused if we ordered or not yet. An hour later and still no salads or soup, we ask about the status of our order and the waitress asks if we ordered yet, so we got up and left. In the span of an hour we saw 3 groups get up to leave that were seated and never got seen, one group that complained no one came back to pick up their check, one group that complained that a table that came in after them received salads and another that was already seated and eating but walked up to the bar to get someone to come over to their table. We tried to stay positive the whole time because we wanted a good steak house nearby but they were clearly disorganized and this was the first time we have ever left a restaurant after being seated.
