If you’re looking for Japanese food in Clemson, this is a great place to go. We stop by to try out the cuisine. It was crowded so we did not get a hibachi table, but regardless it was just as delicious and fresh.
Jesse was our server and was excellent. Really attentive and made sure our order was correct.
For dinner, we started with a cucumber roll with extra ginger. Complementary miso soup and salad was provided. The dressing on the salad is very good and one of my favorite parts of the meal. We then had the combination of Tiger shrimp and fillet mignon. Quite tasty. The fried rice was excellent. Good portion sizes for the price. To close, we had the mango and strawberry mochi ice cream. Can’t go wrong with ordering that.
Overall, I love the decor in the restaurant. Makes you feel like you’re in an authentic Japanese restaurant. So with great service, excellent food and a fantastic ambience, I will be back.

Our server Olivia was very knowledgeable and pleasant, the atmosphere felt a little “off” today but I at first chocked it up to eating earlier in the evening than we have in the past. The miso soup was excellent, salad and edamame were good as usual, however the hibachi was the worst I’ve had in quite a while. The meat and vegetables were inconsistent sizes, leading to some veggies that were barely cooked and some that were nearly mush. We also ordered a total of 4 sushi rolls (one with my entree, 3 as my son’s entree), which finally came about 15 min after my husband’s and my hibachi entrees. My husband and I were done eating (and yes, we ate most of our meal even though it wasn’t great) and our son still had no food (except for our soup and salad that we shared with while we waited. I declined my sushi roll when it arrived and Olivia removed it from our bill. As I said, service was fine, however, the overall quality of the restaurant seems to have definitely declined over the past year.

Tokyo has by far the best and freshest sushi in our area. We come for the sashimi but always include a side of their filet mignon. The beef is fantastic too. We are so happy that we found this place and visit (or take out) often.

Came in around 8:15(ish) on a Thursday evening with my girlfriend and we were seated immediately in a very nice booth.
Started with the mango and strawberry sake and they were to die for. The mango was my favorite and tasted precisely like fresh mango, the strawberry was great and my girlfriend said that was her favorite.
Also had a bottle of Merlot (they were out of the one we requested but it was a lovely bottle none the less).
The ginger salads are absolutely lovely! The dressing is cream based, the lettuce crunchy and the vegetables fresh.
The teriyaki hibachi was delicious but oddly enough the fried rice and the homemade yum yum sauce are the stars of the show (they give you a full squeeze bottle of the sauce)!
Got the scallops three ways and although my gf isn’t a fan of scallops she loved all 3. Her personal favorite was the fried tuna crabcake seafood balls. We got the firecracker roll and the atomic ball roll.
The service was amazing, the speed right on point, and the food and drinks just fabulous.

The food was amazing from their sushi to their fried rice. They have so many varieties of rolls you can get for all the picky eaters out there. The portions were good, especially for the price you’re paying. Customer service could be better. Honestly, I felt a little rushed by our waitress, and our food took forever because they accidentally put it in a to-go box for someone else. The guy at the front did check in on us, though, with some polite commentary. The food is a little pricey but completely worth it. The atmosphere was 5 star, however, with it being the perfect mix of upbeat and peaceful. This would be a great place to have a date night with the gorgeous decor and indoor trees with lights.

Excellent quality sashimi. Plus, the eel bowl was very much worth the trip, and not to mention, the “sushi”-style rice was prepared/served exactly as it should! The miso soup was not too salty — this is a common error with others. And, my waitress, Bella, was exceptionally attentive. Kudos to her. (Note: My first visit here was on a Friday, at lunch, upon opening… the place was practically packed within 30 minutes.)

We’ve been eating here for years. The quality of the sushi has dropped off dramatically. Our last two visits have been challenging. Last time our food looked like it was prepared by a two year old. This time was similar. My wife’s sushi roll (which she has gotten many times) was disappointing. Stuff was missing and that drastically changed the flavor. We brought it up with our waiter and he basically said we didn’t know what we were talking about.
It’s a shame, but this may be the last chance they get from us.

Staff was okay but we didnt come for the staff we came for the food and the food was nasty none of us ate our food. Very disappointed with the food. My daughter really wanted crab we kept telling her this is not the place for that but they did have king crab for an appetizer so we thought and all I can say is that was not king crab they brought out 3 skinny short orange sticks and it was dripping with water.

Though we were not happy with their service and the table gave us. We were next to the hibachi girl and exposed to lots of smoke and bad smell.
