We stopped here for lunch after touring the area. There was not much of a crowd, so we were seated immediately. They have a very nice craft beer list, over a dozen to choose from. I had the beef tallow double smash burger. It came with grilled onions and a side of fries. The fries were hot and crispy. I think a slice of tomato or some lettuce would have served the burger well, but it was still good. My wife went with a chicken Benedict sandwich. It had pineapple and pickled jalapeño. She really enjoyed the taste. This is a nice place. The seating area is located between rustic looking brick walls and gives it a retro feel. The bar area is spacious. Our server was friendly and efficient. For our first time here, this was a positive experience.

The food – just wow. Worth every penny! Went here with my boyfriend and our three kids (ages 13, 3, and 9 weeks). I would eat everything on their menu. We wanted to pick this place up and bring back to our town. Food beyond amazing, service phenomenal, atmosphere perfection. Server recommended i added a little heat to my chicken and waffles, and it was perfect!! ❤️ we will definitely want to come back here.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and large portions all made this a must stop if your in the area. I personally ordered their chicken and waffles and it was absolutely delicious. And I don’t say that lightly! We tried an array of apps, and I think my favorites were the giant pretzel with beer cheese and the spinach artichoke bread bowl was the best I have had! That along with the wide array of craft brews along with the classics(Bud light, Miller light) made for a memorable experience. Well worth stopping by, I will definitely go out of my way to come back here!

This place is unique for sure, love the decor. The staff is super friendly.
The place does take a while on the food… but it’s worth the wait. Allows for good conversation.
We also got the pulled pork burger (not pictured), it wasn’t up to par for us, the meat was dry it needed more sauce.
We did get the coleslaw on the side rather than on the pulled pork. Maybe this impacted the flavor.

I would highly recommend this dining establishment! The environment and Ambience alone would make it worth the 40-minute drive. But for the three of us that dined there, each of our meals were of five star quality. Our server went above and beyond to ensure that we had an enjoyable meal. We are already making plans to visit there again despite the 40-minute drive!

Love this place!! The cocktails are delicious and the food is so good! I recommend the Scotch Egg appetizer and the Chicken and Waffles. The fish was average but the waffle fries are very good. We will definitely be back!

The Merchant House serves wonderful food followed with a wonderful atmosphere. The hosts and hostesses were hospitable and gave us much attention. They were helpful in recommending menu options. The food is worth two trips. In fact, I will be going back again while in town!

This is our first time eating downtown in Greenville after moving into the area besides stopping by made rites of course. I have to say this is probably the best food I’ve had in a while. Food was cooked perfectly. The chicken and waffles is definitely the way to go at our server. Andrew was great.

One of the best sirloin steaks I’ve had. The perfect medium as you can see in the picture. The wife had their special dish, Chicken and Waffles. $18 for the steak and $17 for the chicken and waffles. Sounds expensive but worth every dollar! Our server was superb and even refilled our drinks in stealth mode. We had a party of 6 including us and had a great time. The atmosphere was perfect, comfortable seating and very clean with professional looking staff. This is now one of our favorite places in Greenville! Our first time here but definitely not the last!
